  • It's too bad the tenor sax mic wasn't on :( I could see him giving the stink eye.

  • Nice! I hear a little Allman Brothers in there.Kinda sorta,Ya know what I mean? It fuggin Rocks! The last of Good rock bands! Not influenced by dumbass knot brained record exec's that only know in their mind what sells.Example; If you dont hear autotune it was not touched by talentless suck faces that destroyed good music that you will never hear! But maybe the internet will bring some back,If people will not use top pop 40 as their guide and influence that you hear all the time.

  • The Black Crowes remind me of High Sierra Music Festival and being home :) I love it

  • Jesus sings rock!!

  • @THEMASTEROFYOU2000 Your mom sings rock!

  • So good, it brings chills down my spine! Awesome!

  • Well, If I was gonna go directly from a klezmer band to rock'n'roll, I would at least change my clothes and get a new haircut.

But you gotta love it, it's fine!

  • this is just like back in the day when I saw these guys at the Tower as good as it can be done :)

  • they are so GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!

  • what an epic , brilliant, mind melting fantastic solo. Marc is a genius incarnate. Saw therm twice a month ago and luther is a worthy successor. Their last ever gig at the Paradiso was the ultimate live show ever it was jaw dropping rock with a heart as big as the city it was in. Immense band up there with the best.

  • wats that nasally sound he starts doing in the second verse?? I think aerosmith has that same sound live sometimes. is it a less intense way of hitting those high notes?

  • Otis Readings Version is better, but this is still awesome!

  • Why is Kate Hudson dating the Lead singer of Muse now, her and Chris shoulda stayed together cuz The Black Crowes and Chris are sooo much better than Muse and the singer dude!

  • this is grateful dead's song. btw.

  • @swimjim4012 Wrong, the original is from Otis Redding (written by Allen Jones, Alvertis Isbell, Otis Redding) first released on audio album The Immortal Otis Redding (June 15, 1968). The Greatful dead covered it since July 1973.

  • The guitarist with the SG is none other than the best guitar player they ever had, Marc Ford.

  • who's the guitarist with the SG???

  • they r always amazing live. especially when they get into jams

  • He forgot half of the lyrics :) !

  • this song works well if you use the Intergalactic acapella

  • it sounds like he isn't even saying anything when it comes to the best parts

either that or he forgot half the song

  • it sounds like he isn't even saying anything when it comes to the best parts

  • That rug really pulls the hall together, man.

  • These guys really rocks this song: youtube.com/watch?v=4oTn1e23ofQ&NR=1

  • IS HE JHON LENNON REINCARNETED? LOOKS LIKE IT - THE VOICE OF COURSE.

  • Lead singers who don't play an instrument always end up just standing around or dancing awkwardly.

  • @ESHbyESH EASY! Thats how I dance my tits off. Awkward my ass....just high and feeling the love through the soles of your feet.

  • We covered this song with our band. Please take a look and comment on it!

Search for: White Raven - Hard to Handle

  • That lead guitarist is Marc Ford.

  • Chris roberston would be SO great live if only he could sing all of the words! haha

  • they where the first band i ever saw live. im glad i did haha im 16 and i can just feel all the soul in there music. i really can relate to this band and you dont get that that often in his decade

  • @helloimlauren: It's not an "orchestra"...it's called a 'horn section". And all true R&B bands have them. This song is part of the R&B canon and is a classic Otis Redding song recorded for Stax Records and released shortly after Redding's 1968 death. You can't do a classic arrangement of it without a horn section. On the original Redding recording, he was backed by the Memphis Horns.

  • @zoetmb you nailed it...no further explanation needed

  • Good old classic backbeat Rock & Roll!!

  • I'm glad I found this version again. I love rock with saxophones, it reminds me of classic Stones, and the lead guitarist is great here.

  • One of the best vids i've seen on youtube.

  • i know it because i saw ""don`t forger lrycis" you know i caming like Black Crowes

  • i know because i saw ""don`t forger lrycis" you know i caming like Black Crowes

  • Ugh the orchestra is definitely not rock and roll. Fuck that shit.

  • @ helloimlauren1234, How can you say that about a band putting an orchestra behind them being done??, Elbow done it with great success, So did Metallica and Portishead the list goes on and on, Educate yourself.

  • When a band puts a orchestra behind them...they are done....love the Crowes, just not this...

  • Crowes, Stones, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Pearl Jam. That´s my essencial Rock n Roll selection...

  • Hes Sooooo Wasted

  • Love the Black Crowes... just damn did Chris forget some of the lyrics... great jam session at the end though! Amorica is one of the best albums I have ever heard!

  • Great music. The band starts flying!

  • HIGH AS A KITE

  • great stuff

  • he's a fat black babtist choir lady born in the body of a skinny white dude.

  • @Preacherx1 awesome!!!

  • @Preacherx1 your sck , don't analize, just enjoy..peace

  • @Preacherx1

agree totally, the dude has an amazing voice. but since he's a skinny white dude, that comparison is not racist eh?

imagine the riots if it was said the other way???

    otis is the mannnn!!!

  • he looks high off his ass lol

  • This is a great band, best band of my generation 90ies/ 2000s. Too sad that to few people really acknowledge their greatness. They today only go for Coldplay, Gaga, R Williams and crap like that. Never will understand that.

  • The Black Crowes belong to the top 5 bands of all times.

    1.) Rolling Stones

    2.) The Who

    3.) The Beatles

    4.) The Black Crowes

    5.) ACDC

  • @SJ9336JE Zeppelin? Dude...

  • @SoWachuWan

no Zeppelin is not in there. Great Band, but not my top 5.

  • @SJ9336JE Cool band in the early 90's, but Top 5 of all time? I don't think so. They had a good first album, and a really good 2nd album -- then a long trail-off of hits and misses over the next two decades.

  • @SJ9336JE Man you forgot about The Monkeys!

  • marc ford !!!!

  • you know I wonder why so little people like this kinda music. I guess the marketing crap which is played on the air nowadays has really led people into the wrong direction. This is the best active band. Stones nowadays are not so good anymore. They have been in the 70ies. Crowes are the worthy successor.

  • @Zwarte Cross 2011(:

  • The Crowes play like the Stones in the 70ies. For that I love them.

  • @SJ9336JE no they dont lolol

  • @SJ9336JE I'm hearing as much Grateful Dead as Rolling Stones here.

  • @SJ9336JE Yup, brother. But they play faster and were born into IT....so to me are far more genuine and their music speaks in a purer way.

  • I wonder if Otis Redding thought this song would be redone by so many...

  • The lead guitarist is wonderful, and he's obviously a big fan of Dicky Betts.

  • OMG I love this bad they are kick ass!!I want to see them so bad....Im high on that led Guitarist he is so good.......((*_*))

  • this dude just pulled off the highest stage in the state Im in?????

  • Wow! What great tones and communication between players. This is real rock N roll!

  • if jesus had a band...

  • Wauw... They will come to Lichtenvoorde The Netherlands in July 2011. FANTASTIC!!!! . A litle bit grey I suppose.. ;o) Can't wait Regards from Holland. Rob Elbers.

  • whos there lead guitarist- he can rip

you can find me on facebook...

    search for andreas kümmert

    have a nice day!

  • Why do band members let themselves go and grow ridiculous beards? This reminds me of Tom Petty and the Heart breakers at the Superbowl.

  • @ianwulf24 Dude, have you ever been around Mountain Men from Tennessee? It is so anti cool, so anti modern metrosexual, so anti cunnilingus ......seriously cool men with individuality and an inner calm and confidence grow beards...my wife made me take mine off, all 5 times. Shes lucky she's still around! Look at all the Special Forces dudes! And Tom Petty as you point out. Look at Lemmy. Get growing and get a patch in them woods, go off the grid and play geeeetar on your porch as you chill. X

  • I jizzed..

  • it's a cover tune and they do a great job!

  • if they were any less awesome Tito Ortiz wouldn't have played sax for them

  • My uncle is the drummer for this band!

  • Shame Marc isn't there......music lacks with him not with the Crowes....

  • the singer looks like Dirk Verbeuren, the drummer in Soilwork!

  • I love all of the greats. And I love The Black Crowes for keeping the old soul of rock alive....that's all.

  • if y'all didn't know,this is a COVER.and fair at that...

  • @garzaeduardo I have all their albums so I should know...

  • Probably the best Rock'n'Roll band in the world as of today:

  • @stefanodangiolo***youtube.com/user/JMarley1983#grid/user/6671D22116E30D0B*** If you would like to see the best music videos of 1990 check my playlist out.

  • @JMarley1983 spam..

  • @stefanodangiolo no sorry skynyrd takes that award hands down..

  • @epoch322 Sorry man, I agree with the other guy...

  • @stefanodangiolo boy, deep purple is still alive :P

  • @Skyzer08 Sorry pal we are talking as of today,Purple or Skynyrd or the Stones as of today are not delivering the same goods as in the 70s, Crowes have been revitalized by the Dickinson kid and to me even though I loved Marc Ford, they sound better today than ever.

  • And I love The Black Crowes! They may not have aged well in the last 15+ years, but they have some real catchy rock tunes. It would appear only 38 disagree. Groovy...

  • listen to aranda sing this! sex. but awesome :D

  • forgetting lyrics to one of your most popular songs is a terrible thing

  • Comment removed

  • Masters!!!

  • Love the music on this track!

  • lol beards are facial hair not rock and roll or the old lady down my street wouldn have one

  • @TheDazo1976 Haha. You make a good point. The whole thing started by someone commenting on the video- saying that his beard was lame. And that Mick Jaggar wouldn't wear a beard and the last statement- 'beards are not rock and roll' As a fan I responded out of good humor. But right you are- if beards=rock...elderly ladies across America would be recording rock albums :-) Peace lol

  • @HydeKelso123

Funny, I was just lamenting my errant beard hairs, and I'm only a 30-yr. old lady....but then again, I do rock, so it all makes sense.

  • @MrEllenwork See there! Whether you are a lady of age 30 or ZZ Top..... beards= rock and roll. My point is concrete.

  • yeah well i'd love to see what would get a better reaction if they were still goin. the good stuff from the start or shite like she'sleaving home

  • @bcheeseful Try a site like google. I haven't the energy to type known facts onto youtube for you, dude. But just for good measure- She's Leaving is from Sgt. Pepper's....long before the last album. Peace.

  • @HydeKelso123 you know waht this guy TheDazo1976 is right and you and me are the idiots. look that shit up on google

  • Comment removed

  • @bcheeseful Hopefully Google and Wiki showed you the errors of your ways. Rock and roll purists will always trump arrogant individuals like yourself. If we love them, then we know our stuff. Bands like The Beatles, Zeppelin and The Who are the bread and butter of modern rock. Accept this and move on to your next video by Nickelback or The Darkness and stop trying to break balls on people who listen to real rock and roll.

  • @HydeKelso123 yeah cos wiki is the best place to learn about what real rock and roll is. if you could refrain from making retarded comments in future im sure everyone would be alot happier. and for the record i like led zeppelin and the beatles, just not the who because i've seen them live and thought they were underwhelming. i've seen the darkness too(who are a good rock and roll band) and they were much more entertaining and enjoyable. so shove that up your purist asshole

  • Didnt realise that its an otis reading track! duuuuuuuuu

  • Why does he have a beard?

Would Mick Jagger ever wear a beard? Nope! Must be some Yankee thing... Beards aren't rock n' roll.

  • @klepzo Beards are a long tradition of both American and British rock. Almost every 70's southern rock band had beards featured. ZZ Top, Allman Brothers, Skynard and John Fogerty just to name a few. As far as across the pond-John Lennon and Paul McCartney both grew beards. So did Pete Townsend from The Who. Oops! Maybe check your facts next time. But thanks for playing ;-)

  • @HydeKelso123 yeah but none of them did great work with beards. zz top have made the same song for their entire career. lennon and macca did their best work at the start. the who suck. i could go on but eh.

  • @bcheeseful (1 of 2)The Beatles final days together are WIDELY known as the years when they came out with some of their best music...and beards :-) I have no agreement or disagreement about ZZ Top- I enjoy some of their tunes- I mentioned them purely to make the point that beards are indeed 'rock and roll'.

  • @bcheeseful (2 of 2) However, your argument dies with 'the who suck.' Any true rock and roll fan knows how important they are to rock and roll. Pete Townsend had a cool beard AND great guitar chops (reference Rolling Stone's magazine 100 Greatest Guitarists). I am puzzled by your desire to respond to my post at all, actually. In the future, try to do your homework before you write a post making yourself seem incredibly uninformed and foolish. Peace, dude

  • @bcheeseful WTF, "the who suck"? are you on drugs, asshole?

  • @oRISHI12 yeah alot of drugs and they still suck it like a porn star turned hooker

  • @bcheeseful okkkkeeeey, keep listening to "the black crowes" then, you are not worthy of the mighty who.

  • great tune! i love rich!!!

  • Hey there! Check out my version and my other uploads. Many thanks Rock on!!!!!

  • I'd cross Paul Simon with umm for a shot Dave Letterman!...Broadway' is Dark Tonight Always Never!...w/Jesus and Tom Petty Rock n Roll!

  • i think he forgot some of the lyrics lol

  • @forsaken20071

forgot some lyrics............! You havin a fuckin laugh - he's a musician..........! its his interpretation of the song............... These guys took an AWESOME song and made it STRATOSPHERIC!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @forsaken20071

He didnt forget the lyrics. It's just hard to sing when your mouth is full of beard!

  • @forsaken20071 and he has a stuffy nose lol

  • otis all day

  • just love Crowes

  • This was one of my favorite Crowes song. I always thought it was theirs though and just discovered it's a cover of Otis Redding. Now that I've heard Redding's, it's hard for me to bother with the Crowes version :)

  • GeetarA.... 'Cause his highs are blown out , and that's all he can carry. Where do you think Steve Perry went?......Rust NEVER sleeps! Don't blink! :)
