@swimjim4012 Wrong, the original is from Otis Redding (written by Allen Jones, Alvertis Isbell, Otis Redding) first released on audio album The Immortal Otis Redding (June 15, 1968). The Greatful dead covered it since July 1973.
they where the first band i ever saw live. im glad i did haha im 16 and i can just feel all the soul in there music. i really can relate to this band and you dont get that that often in his decade
@helloimlauren: It's not an "orchestra"...it's called a 'horn section". And all true R&B bands have them. This song is part of the R&B canon and is a classic Otis Redding song recorded for Stax Records and released shortly after Redding's 1968 death. You can't do a classic arrangement of it without a horn section. On the original Redding recording, he was backed by the Memphis Horns.
@ helloimlauren1234, How can you say that about a band putting an orchestra behind them being done??, Elbow done it with great success, So did Metallica and Portishead the list goes on and on, Educate yourself.

forgot some lyrics............! You havin a fuckin laugh - he's a musician..........! its his interpretation of the song............... These guys took an AWESOME song and made it STRATOSPHERIC!!!
This was one of my favorite Crowes song. I always thought it was theirs though and just discovered it's a cover of Otis Redding. Now that I've heard Redding's, it's hard for me to bother with the Crowes version :)
Chris Robinson...a washed up jealous screaming off key ugly rocker who always sucked…trying to ride on the back of the highly talented and successful Taylor Swift…Let's see you deliver solo with only an acoustic guitar on stage as back up?! You dance like an adolescent girl in heat! Just screaming inane crap! I guess quite a few million people world wide would like you to crawl back under your slimy rock! Greasy haired wrinkled up loser..just fade away quietly you annoying buzzing insect!
GeetarA.... 'Cause his highs are blown out , and that's all he can carry. Where do you think Steve Perry went?......Rust NEVER sleeps! Don't blink! :)
I really love what these guys did to this song, it's just freaking awesome rocked up from the Otis version.
If you'd like, we do a cover of this song in pretty damn good quality from one of our gigs, it's on our page, and we'd love it for yall to check it out! We almost always return the favor. =D
HELL YEA BLACK CROWES!!!! check out my cover THEM! just youtube GUN METAL GROOVE SHE TALKS TO ANGELS!! u will luv it i swear!!!!!! THUMBS UP IF THIS SONG GIVES U THE CHILLZ!!!
