  • Can cut a 1/4 mile of lawn in under 13 seconds, lol.

  • 240p we meet again

  • I want one to piss off my neighbors

  • Only in America :D

  • That's so smart though. Look at the ground he's covering. Trash a couple burnouts, have a stubby, what a day.

  • I just asked about 262 being a V6...I found out that the 75-75 chevy engine is a V-8 ok that nmakes sense now lol

  • I'm confused. A 262 is a 4.3 V-6. What's up

  • @CocacolaCowboy1919 i know right. whats going on

  • @ethandonker I found out in the 75 engin the V-8 was a 262 liter.

  • thats cool something that can have a purpose for around the yard and can run 7 seconds in the quarter mile

  • hows the gas millage?

  • @TheBowman1988 one feet / gallon..

  • @anfobomb lol

  • Finally someone drops a v8 on a mower and they still have it set up to mow!!

  • you know that bitch can get up and go...

  • u know your a redneck when you have a V8 in your lawnmower

  • But will it blend?

  • @killer24norway i bet it will blend your face.

  • It shaves 1 square feet of lawn then stops for fuel

  • Hope the Monza has a 350 in it now =)

  • Redneck approved

  • needs more geas

  • Every groundskeeper need same same one!!!!

  • Pretty bad ass though

  • Didn't know there was a 262 V8...I know there was a 265...but not a 262

  • @scott93257 The 262 was mid seventies Monza, it had unique bore and stroke and only was made 75-76. Chevy tried again in the late seventies with a 267, that had the stroke of the 350 but a 3.5" bore. Both of those engines were supposed to meet fuel economy and emission standards of the day but only made around 120 horsepower. The 305 took both of their places and with more horsepower depending on year anywhere from 145 with 2 barrel up to 220 or so in Camaro Tuned Port Injected versions.

  • The grass was already cut

  • Now THAT is a lawnmower. With the power of that, you won't have time to drink a beer.

  • I'll buy it if it comes with drink holders

  • overkill?

  • Ted, is this a relative of yours?

  • aha lawn mowing and grass removal

  • wow! thats one mowin mofo! more!!! get a bigger lot with deeper grass!

  • Git R Done

  • NICE!!!

  • can it mow the lawn?

  • thats got to be hell on the PTO

  • Mower: that'd be 500$

    Lawn owner: WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!

Mower: I had to pay for the gas....

  • going to cut sum bush

  • what trans is in it?

  • a 262 is a 4.3 v6

  • @jacksonyzdinky Mid 70's there was a 262 chevy V8, it was replaced by the 305. Just by looking at the manifold setup you can see its a V8, not a V6.

  • @arc00ta Then they dropped the 262 after a year or so. Chevy came out with the 267 for 1979, with the stroke of the 350 and a 3-1/2" bore. Both those engines were intended for low emissions and good fuel economy but the 305 ended up serving in their place after the early 80's. Olds had a 260, Ford a 255 during the late 70's and Chrysler never went under 318 cui except for the Slant Six after the 60's.

  • a 262 is a 4.3 v6

  • god i want one

  • i will mow the lawn in 3.8 seconds

  • if you put a 632 in it IT WOULD HAUL SO MUCH ASSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • that is badass, what transmission is in that?

  • only in the united states of hamburger land !

  • i love america

  • Zombie eating lawnmower. WIN

  • lol were is the radiator?

  • I guess there's a little Tim Allen in all of us.

  • That's funny. Stuff likes this makes me chuckle. It would awesome if he was in a chase with the cops on that thing...lol

  • and hey you only spent 35 bucks in gas thid time mowing.

  • you could chop a tree down with that fucking thing

  • @1:20 why didn't you just mow the bush too? Cuz YOU CAN

  • Damn!!!! i just got a boner

  • @ajallison90

    Damn!!!! you're a stupid redneck

  • lmao this is cool but the only downfall is that you'll need 50 dollars of gas to cut a couple acres.

  • @romansoldierofhonor Haha exactly what I was thinking.

  • put a muffler on it

  • @MrBoy219 loosar, V8's arent made to be run with mufflers

  • @WRCMeister you would have to put a muffler on it if you lived close to me... or i would destroy it while you sleep...

  • @MrBoy219 party pooper

  • haha. thank god for rednecks :D

its pointless, but i love mowing my lawnat 256 X 10^5 MPH. :P

    its sick as fuck :D

  • Exhaust in front of the driver ? BAD IDEA ! rosted redneck for launch.

  • Had never heard of the 262 and I should have...Was manufacture just two years from 1975 to 1976, yet did appear in some yearly model Pontiac Ventura's...4.3 liter with 3.67" bore and a scant 110 hp...Some v6's has the same 4.3 liter displacement..So it was a gas saving, low hp v8...For what you did here, I would have used the v6, but nice build...

  • time for a 383 stroker.

  • FULL PULL!

  • Looks like he's already mowed it 3 times and is just having fun now.

  • Ppl dont need SHIT!! but we got it.. 10-4 Grass cuttin' sux my nuts

  • Ppl dont need SHIT!! but we got it.. 10-4

  • no such thing as too much horsepower!!!

  • Damn, I wish my lawn mower would mow that fast >.<

  • That grass doesnt stand a snow ball's chance in hell

  • This is fucking awesome. I feel like punching my grandmother in her fucking throat.

  • @gunluvr22 wtf???

  • @gunluvr22 What a sicko!

  • Are you out of you mind? This engine in a lawn tractor is quite excessive. You just don't need that much power period. You are wasting resources and endangering everyone on the planet with that thing. You could have gotten along fine with a twincam V6 engine, or a supercharged 4 cylinder pratt and whitney airplane engine.

  • You don't need a V8 lawn mower, but at the same time you kinda do LOL.

  • Mow your lawn in 5 min or less or its free!

  • thats a very rare engine

  • put a decent comp cam on it...lol

  • 262 cubic inch...should be 4.3 or 4.4 liter

  • That is very neat! I've never seen a heavily modified mower that still has a working cutting deck on it. Coolest sounding lawn tractor in your area I'm sure!

  • At first I was like O.o now I really kinda want one lol

  • Now that"s the way to get the lawn mowed

  • waste of cool engine

  • Just...why?

  • thats fuckin bad ass it still cuts!!!!!!!

  • lol gas taker machine

  • should have put a 350 or a hemi

  • @AaronRockerWTF

should have killed yourself, or never been born

  • @undercoverLsX amen

  • wooooot

  • No more getting jammed up and killing it in the wet grass, that's for damn sure!!!

  • @dasadler123 no, it will just spit the blockage out the side in a massive clump!

  • I bet this thing get 5 acers a gallon :D

  • @Briggsmaster thats not bad actually!

  • Is that a mullet? Please tell me it is!

  • you know you've got everything when you put a v8 on your lawnmower

  • so what happens when you hit a rock?

  • @eduardosantacruz it turns into a side firing projectile. lol

  • Looks better than it cuts or sounds or goes,Mother must be proud

  • I laughed my ass off...fukin' great!!

  • How do you make one of these?

  • @Camopar87 dunno how he did it...but id take a manual transmission clutch bellhousing and the input shaft from trans to slide into clutch...fabricate a bearing carrier at the back of bellhousing and run belt from there to mower deck and wheels. makes me wanna find me an old flat head 8

  • it needs a beer holder

  • @jd198656 too much davidsfarm man

  • thats fucking sweet

  • you should pull up to a car show in that! haha

  • 7 MPG just to cut your grass?!?!?!

  • Fantastic. In the UK we are going for 100mph on a lawnmower!!! Take a lok at our testing video under runningblade

  • @rednoseroxy Oh get off your high horse. There are enough self-rightous assholes in the world already that make fun of America to fit in and feel cool.

  • do a vid how you mad it :)

  • @rednoseroxy Ok w/e go get hepatitis b. Looks like the jokes on you.

  • @rednoseroxy youre a waste

  • makes mowing the lawn look cool :)

  • that things awesome! howd you keep it moving and mowing with a horzontal shaft?

  • @oerllikon2 some older lawn tractors used horizontal shaft engines.

  • that is fuckin bad ass

  • oh fuck now u dont need to cut the lawn u can actually dig over everything xD

  • very nice, how long can you run that thing on the gas it has, and how much gas can it hold

  • i think i found my next project lmao

  • sweet lawn mower, the mullet ain't bad either!!!

  • hahahaha

  • to bad its srtill got the tracktor runing gear so its not going to be fast its got lots of power though

  • .. something I could do with my 305 when it's pulled from my truck, lol! I have an old murry lawn tractor. I'm sure I can 'redneck' it in there somehow XD

  • @meangreen69Nova dont try and act like you know shit.

  • WTF are you even talking about? One things for certain I know more than you, so STFU

  • Haha I gotta admit this is so bad-ass....and probably the best use in the world for an underpowered 262 V8 Chevy engine. Even if it's only 115 hp, I'm sure it's gotta be a little rocket on a riding mower.

  • all i care about is how well does it cuts lawns at 200mph

  • @swervon do the blades cut faster with that engine?

  • @swervon you think the gearing and tires will allow that lol? now but some 37in tires on and 200mph wont b a problem

  • @swervon it doesn't.At 200mph it has taken off and functions like a helicopter

  • should put a top fuel funny car motor on one lool

  • haha its like ok mom ill go cut grass come back in 2 mins later "mom" now i know your not done already hahaha id end up killing myself on this

  • shoulda put a 305 on it but, its still awesome!

  • man, youve even got the huge pipes coming out the top =D pretty neat

  • im thinking of putting a big block chevy and a 400 turbo transmission and putting ATV tires on a lawnmower

  • the chevy 262 V8's had less power than a ford focus...

and half the pwr of my v6...

but damn old v8's sound cool

  • my neighbors would hate meh especially when i go super mower ha

  • v8s to come smaller than a 262, but not pushrod motors. bmw makes a production 213ci v8 for higher end cars.

  • That an Alis&Chalmers?

  • lol that is how you mow a lawn hahaha

  • lol awsome full functioning. So what does that thing run in the 1/4 acre? i bet 11s or 12s

  • @supermotoman217 It mulches, cuts, and still shows up Hondas, both mowers and cars! lol

  • Silly billy 267 is as small as the v8 bloc goes..........

  • The 1975-1976 262 was a 262 cu in (4.3 L) 90° pushrod V8 with an iron block and heads. Bore and stroke were 3.67 in (93 mm) by 3.10 in (78.7 mm). Power output for 1975 was 110 hp (82 kW) and 195 lb·ft (264 N·m) at 3600 rpm. The 262 was underpowered and was replaced by the 305 the following year.

    also a 4.3 v8 for the 94 chevy caprice

  • 265 was the small chevy V8.. it was in the 55 chevy..

  • osteologation is correct, the 262 was the smallest small block that Chevy has ever made. They only made them for 2 years, 1975 and 1976 and they only were available in 2 cars, the 1975 Nova and the 1975 and 1976 Monza. Hence they're not a very well known engine, other than by the small block gurus who think nothing more of them other than a boat anchor.

But in this case, I have to admit this is probably the best use of a 262 cube V8.

  • I never heard of a Chevy 262 V8. There is a 265 and a 283.

  • 262 was only available in 1975 and 1976 on Novas and Monzas. The 305 is what replaced the 262 V8.

Of note, a 262 V8 is a 4.3 liter. However another 4.3 liter, the V6 model that is well known in full size trucks, S-10's, Blazers, Monte Carlos, El Caminos and Astros, was introduced in 1985, and later a new 4.3 V8, which is a 265 cube engine was introduced on the mid 90's Caprices.

  • DRNEGOLICS: I never heard of a 305 in a GMC topkick dump. More like a 366 or 427 tallblock truck engine.

  • How were you able to get the front axle and frame to hold up to the weight of the 262?

  • a 262 aint a v8 its a 4.3 v6

  • wrong, 262 is a chevy v8. and olds is 260.v8.

  • It's actually both; back in the mid 70's Chevy decided to add a new economy V8 engine and came out with the 262 V8 for 1975. Then for whatever reason they came out with a new economy engine, the 305 in 1976. Then the 262 V8 was dropped for the 1977 model year.

A new 262, the V6 version, came out in 1985. The 262 V6, aka "4.3 liter" has nothing to do with the old 262 V8 except it has the same amount of cubes from 2 less cylinders...and more power than the old V8 version had.

  • my truck is a 81 and it was an option for a 262 or 283 v8 wish i had either one but the 283 has just as much power as a 350 but better fuel economy

  • A 262 V8 was never an option for a truck. The 262 V6 was but it didn't come along until 1985. The 283 was last used in trucks in 1967. A 283 does get better fuel economy but it doesn't always have more power than the 350 does. And as mentioned the 262 V8 was only used in 1975-76 on Monzas and Novas.

  • 283 was an option in 76-81 for trucks look it up i know a guy that has on in his 79 chevy c10 he gets better gas milage and the torq horsepower specs are the same as a 350 2bolt main i have some charts

  • I have looked it up....76-81 trucks you could get a 4.1 which is a 250 inline 6...or you could get a 5.0 which is a 305....or you could get a 5.7 which is a 350....and up until 1980 you could get the 6.6 which is the 400.

Also the 283 made at best, 220 hp stock and that was the hi-po versions. Most 283's were 195 hp. Yes some 350's of the late 70's only made like 170 hp, which is why I said a 283 "doesn't" always have more power than a 350....sometimes yes but often times no.

  • i never under stood why they made the low power 350s then theres the high power one the 350 4bolt main i think its model N or M? i have it in my truck its supposed to push 330HP and 380FT lbs of torq at 3600RPM im not sure about the RPMS but the factory recomended is 3600 and i dont take it over 4 grand mostly but i have gotten it to 8grand be4

  • i love it!!!!!!

  • This is how the fast and furious crowd would mow the yard.

  • who the hell want to cut grass wit tht race it yo

  • the 262 was more like the 307

  • Actually Chevy did make a 262 V8 Engine in the mid to late 70's. You usually saw them in Novas. From the outside you can't tell if its a 262 or a 350. They are all small block Chevy's. 262s are awesome tough little motors.

  • wonder why they made crappy 4 cylinder novas later? always wondered.

  • gas millage and they were cheap to make and slap a name on them

  • Yup, and they also were found in Monzas.

  • no people put them in the monza corvair it requires a reverse cam to run the engine back words to make car go foward

  • What are you talking about?

The Monza I was referring to was the RWD front engine version built from 1975 to 1980.

I wasn't referring to the Monza Corviar. That's a whole 'nother animal.

  • oh there was another monza? im not much of a car person so i wouldnt know being the 283 was in the mid 70s for trucks too the new body style and set up was from 76-81 they were all the same kind like the 88-91 set ups but instead 76-81 the 262 was still avalible after 79 as an option wasnt common but was still in some trucks
