I remember being a teenager during this time and loathing this band - everyone knew they lip synched back then like way before it was even common to do this...every chick at school wore the clothes too so to get anywhere with them you had to pretend to like them !!

Yes, their early records had some session musicians on and were mostly written by outside writers, but they developed as musicians and writers and their later (less popular) records were superb. Eric Faulkner inparticular is still making a living out of music and is a talented and respected musician.
