@DevilJdawg4312 Its ONLY jailbroken when you perform the process to jailbreak. If you just turn it on the PS3 like normal, it is not jailbroken. It is NOT stored or permanent.

@whatrugonnadocrazy I dont know the exact terminology or how to explain it in laymens term where you're able to understand. The TI-84 is able to store these information where it can be communicated to the PS3. A regular USB just stores the data. A simple Google search will probably give you a better understanding why a regular USB drive will not work.

@whatrugonnadocrazy There are other ways of jailbreaking the PS3. There are dedicated USB devices (see my site for some products that I reviewed). You can also use certain iPods & iPhones. More information as to which one can be used as jailbreaks can be found on Google.

If you're jailbreaking your PS3, you MUST use the device each time. I also have a TI-83 and there is probably no way to use it. It probably has something to do with the chip that is used and like you said, theres no USB output

@whatrugonnadocrazy in other words... the calculator will allow you to run the jail break program "applacation" and the usb drive, unless there is an "auto run" sub rutine that runs at the power up will just let the jail break program just sit there.

U can reset the firmware to default in settings but I think it formats the ps3 , then just update to the earlier downloaded firmware.

When you flash firmware, you actually overwrite the rom. So no, it's impossible to work on firmware > v3.41. It becomes possible when the bootloader is cracked, so one could make permanent changes in the firmware. If so, you don't have to use any jailbreak device anymore and it's also possible to downgrade. But again, as for now, it's impossible.

@TheVideoStorage Because PSGroove is open source and the team does not support piracy. Hence the files do not allow you to play backups. However, with a change of some coding on PSGroove files, you can play backups. Even the non-backup enabled PSGroove, you can load homebrew files. Thats the purpose of PSGroove. This exploit is still new so homebrew is slowly coming out when developers release it.

@relevation No. Not with the stock open source PSGroove. Its only enabled when codes are changed on the hex file that enables it. Either change the code yourself and compile it or find a pre-compiled hex file for the TI-84 some where on the internet. We will not post links to file or how to change code as we and PSGroove team do not condone piracy.
