@Mgamerz Certain parts of Yoshi's Island (such as hidden "bonus rooms") also include the new part of the music that's added to this track.

Obviously it's a remix of the classic star theme, but I used to think that the new "pieces" added to the song were brand new, but really, they're straight from Yoshi's Island.

Such as the strings that start at 0:07. Sorry, I'm not really good at explaining music in words, but hopefully you know what I mean now.

@BuySomethingWillYa If you look up the video 'Evolution of the Star Theme' you can see it's almost a straight copy with more channels pretty much. Granted, I still think the 64 sounds better (as in tune not sound quality... well both really). But I guess it is the starman remixes so there isn't much to change.

@Mgamerz Thanks for introducing me to that video. I watched the whole thing, and Yoshi's Island is the first game to introduce the "chords" that begin at around 0:07. I originally thought (like most people, I presume) that those chords debuted in Mario 64, but they didn't- they debuted in Yoshi's Island. 8)
