It's sad that Dragon Gate is really that large. Dragon Gate dumbs me down and makes me wanna see spotspotsspots. I find myself coming back to All Japan even these days. New Japan is good too. But yeah..it is real sad to see NOAH these days as well as All Japan. I think the AJPW roster is stacked right now and they put on good matches in front of 1000 people. It's sad. Me and my buddy watch tons of 80's and 90s AJPW. It's just sad what's happened to them.

cheers for the link. Enjoying WK6 so from what I've seen. I just think the WK shows are far too long to achieve the ratings people want. It has the umph to deliver 5* matches but there's too much in it as a show to please everyone which will always be par for the course for any inter promotional shows

Nothing to look forward to? They have all the belts and the year is over, this is when the units start falling apart. Tozawa is obviously going to lead any Blood Warrior mutiny, he's had some small tiffs with CIMA but he's really focused on getting Genki & Ryo kicked out of BW, he sees them as weak, a loser leaves unit match has been made so something big is going to happen, Mochizuki is extending his hand to Kong, which would upset YAMATO so I'm expecting a huge unit shuffle approaching

I really enjoyed Sugiura/Goto, maybe a little more than most people. Obviously a far cry from their match at WK IV but still a solid strong style match. Mutoh/Naito dragged terribly.

I actually wouldn't say the fans are too stupid to realize what he is trying to do, but Jericho is doing something that the crowd are not used to. They can usually tell when to cheer or boo someone by how the wrestler reacts to them. In this case Jericho is reacting to the crowd in a way they are used to cheering someone because that's how WWE has made it for them. I think their not stupid but just need time to catch on and realize what Jericho is actually trying to do.

@peterohara1 I think the point of Jerichos shtick is that he obviously wants the fans to turn on him, but they keep cheering him and they don't catch on, elongating this boring process. Didn't help that the crowd was horrific last night.

@peterohara1 and he'd be right. Everything about the WWE the last few years has been quick n simple. One dimensional storytelling, no sub plots, depth of characters ..... just heel attacks face - face stops a second heel attack - PPV match - angle closed. N this is what the audience has been reduced to expect and appreciate.

But the Jericho angle, and many of WWE's main feuds atm in fairness, actually has an element of intrigue. Something alien to their current audience.

I agree, I think what he's doing is kinda going over some of the audiences heads. However, I think people are starting to get it. People started booing a lot quicker this time, than they did last time. So while Jericho's motives and what he's doing may be going over their heads, I think they are reacting exactly how he wants them to. While I love what he's doing, and think it's very creative, it isn't the most exciting thing in the world to watch, so I hope they mix it up a bit.

@WWEKENNEDY You might not like it but even then, it'd be hard to call this the dumbest storyline of the past 10 years, considering some of the crap that's happened, and also because we haven't seen the whole story arc and where Jericho's character is going. Were only two weeks in, it's hard to call it the worst story line in 10 years based off two weeks. Especially when Katy Vick, Heel Michael Cole, the Undertaker/Kane saga of 2010, and others have that award virtually locked down.

You make some good points about Jericho. Personally, I think he has tried to be too far above the audience's heads since his last feud with HBK ended. It would be cool to see his Y2J persona return, but I doubt it will ever happen. It's a shame, because I think that ever since he came back and started using the Codebreaker as his finisher, he was never as interesting of a character. But that's just me.

My first impression from the last two Jericho segments was that he was gonna retire. I didn't even expect him to return, I honestly thought that the Undertaker was gonna return last week. I do agree that it is over the audiences heads. They should have just had him return at the Royal Rumble. Hopefully Jericho wins the Rumble which I think he will.

Jericho is way too obvious. He's doing this because he's trying to show that all the WWE new guys are doing the exact same thing week after week and still getting the same reaction from fans
