@runarme On this one, we were using an off-brand gum-stick camera from China. We still use them from time to time, but we mainly use GoPro and Muvi Veho cameras now, with handheld support from a Sony Handycam and a Casio Exilim.

the ignition system seems to damage the rocket sticks badly before the fuse ignites the rocket.

maybe put a little insulation tape or wrap a bit of aluminium kitchen foil around the affected part of the sticks to give enough time for the fuse to burn.
