@kylem1112 Also, please listen to Big Mike Naughton (is Ford) on TV and you'll hear how he pronounces it the way we do who were born in Denver/Colorado long ago. He's still on Channel 9 commercials.
I want too add @kylem1112 that my brother was born in Colorado in 1963 and my sister in 1962 and we and everybody we knew pronounced it the way I said. It sounds wrong to us pronounced the way that you said. We even had discussions about that in the 1970s and 1980s and beyond about they way people were butchering the pronunciation. Well, if things have changed, then they've changed. No harm done; languages can change. we original Coloradoans pronounce it the way I said though.
Well I was born in Denver in 1965 and EVERYBODY born there/here pronounced it as if it were spelled Colloroddo except people from other places. If this has changed, well, then it's changed. Denver was in sore need of the new airport. The old approach skyplane of Stapleton International airport was directly over downtown Denver!!! Since downtown Denver already had tall buildings by 1890, it far predates the old airport and has precedence. Downtown needed to be safe.
And yes, I can see that there are some strange things at the airport, especially the mural of doomsday/armageddon, which I hear has been changed/removed. The gryphon/gargoyle/reptilian statue coming out of the suitcase is also odd.
Although there is probably more than one way to pronounce Colorado, I can tell you that most of us born there pronounce it as if it were spelled COLLORODDO. Newcomers/outsiders/tourists pronounced it other ways like ColoRAD-oh. When I hear it that way it's like when Quint scratches the chalkboard in JAWS in 1975 and they cringe to the sound. Think: COLLORODDO. Thank you. Also, COLLORRRRRODDO! in the original Spanish pronunciation.
@PwngeTrooper I am very happy to hear this! It's great to be able to pronounce the state correctly. It's like a smooth sound instead of a chalkboard sound. Also that's a really neat map at DEN (DIA) although it may be quite some time if ever before I get to see it as I cannot travel medically for 7 years now. At least I can see YouTube!
@IQ136 Dude, Iv'e lived here all my life, and no one I know including myself pronounces it col-oh-rah-doh. EVERYONE except people from other states pronounces it Col- oh- RAD- OH
Denver DOES need this big of an airport...it's the 5th busiest airport in the USA and the 10th busiest IN THE WORLD so julzabro can afford to listen here to this sentence.
Now, that nice TV station spelled Idaho as IA when it should be ID. Maybe I heard wrong. At least she pronounced Colorado the correct way--I was born in Denver, I know this. Yes, I do agree with the rest of what julzabro brings up.
You want America to get out of debt? How about you get the fuck off of Wall Street and go pillage this fucking airport!!!! Granate and marble just for a fucking map????? Man the weapons and sharpen the knives...we have some shit to take back for the economy!!! But no...heres the media! Telling you its a cool thing to view when you visit the airport! Now...if they only left the price tag attached to it....Denver would be flooded with protesters ready for blood.
are those sound effects at 0:52 still played in the terminal since the music for the automated train was changed. those sound effects really fitted in well with the terminal.
but how weird looking is the guy from the company ´creative edge´.and his voice too.he spooked me out.my first thought was, alien race with a history of stone-cutting,.just think of all those stone structures around the world that we marvel at and say,how did they cut the stone so perfectly.well maybe they were helped by this guys ancestors!
@suedurham Yeah I agree, if ya check out his pupils they look like cats eyes or something weird like that. Its almost like his voice has been dubbed from Kevin Bacon! They only tell us what they want us to know but I think they feel they can do anything out in the open and get away with it now. Even this years MTV awards looked like a live sacrificial ceremony to the devil! Check out Project Pegasus & Monarch programing
Yeah, anyone who builds a totally oversized airport in a city that DOES NOT need one with miles of underground tunnels that is laced with disturbing murals of end time/catastrophy with a poem from a concentration camp survivor, gargoyles popping out of suitcases, a spooky horse with red glowing eyes who is now joined by a statue of Anubus all with a Masonic capstone with the words New World Airport Commission (which DOES NOT EXIST) is totally INNOCENT!??! R U PEOPLE DENSE!!?!????
its a freakin " THRONE "!!! PEOPEL IVE JUST FIGURED OUT WHAT D.I.A. is ! "Its going to be the NWO's northamerican HQ " THE 4 BLUE PILIARS ARE FOR THE THE 4 SECTION OF THE PLANET. ANUBIS IS FOR THE "R.C.CHRISTIANS
@julzabro Dude we don't need an airport? ARE YOU DENSE? have you even been to colorado. We don't have as many people as other cities, But the front range urban corridor including southern wyoming, the denver metro area, colorado springs, and pueblo is home to 4.5 million people. We arn't montana or north dakota. We actually DO need an airport.
well summed up. Does anyone need to be shot to know this is a real action plan. Christ, they even allude to one of the Horsemen from St.John, that being known as Revelations. This is, they are telling us, going to happen, and yes, then will be sight given to the blind. Fuck!
