All these amazing and great artist all together in this tribute concert. Never again will there be such a concert as this... The best singers of the best era in music the '70 & 80's and yes some new talents too but those times were the best. It's all going now, the real music will disappear with these great artists like Freddy, Michael and recently Ronnie James Dio...
i really wish they would have put a mic on david bowies sax so we could actually hear it and one more thing han you kind of ruined the whole video by cutting out the prayer at the end
Wow!!...REALLY??...cutting out the Lord's prayer at the end...huh...like Freddy couldn't get descent 'send off'?? It was a tribute...that was a special moment for all who were there...but now we can't enjoy that moment??...wtf!!
Oh well, some people still don't know..."God gave Rock 'N Roll to you".
@dilwich123 What you just said is as stupid and dishonest as me saying something like, "Freddie Mercury could not sing and Brain May was a terrible guitarist."
@SoldierOfChrist110 Im sorry i dont debat creationist as i always feel its alittle uneven as i've grown out of believing in Santa & Ghosts & Gods so why not waste your time knocking door to door or wearing a big sandwich board saying GOD LOVES YOU but that stuff is just not my bag - Sorry!
"Down in the city, just Hoople 'n' me" - Now I'm Here
I guess they were cut some slack to play their own hit, notwithstanding the Bowie connection, because Queen were the support band for Mott the Hoople back in the early days. Personally I've always thought Bowie to be overrated.

He has a rare disorder where the dark part of his left eye is permanently enlarged thus making it look darker. Thus he has the appearance of two eye colors.
@tanguman2 Actually it got that way because he and his friend got into a fight over a girl at 15, although you are right, his pupil is permanently enlarged, his face was temporarily paralysed on one side. He had operations but his eye stayed the same. :3
Oh Bowie, you glam suave crooner. Sooo A-political. I don’t think so. His words and riffs have sung out leading, not defending our freedom to explore. Giving space to explore what it is to be human, to think of what life might be and what we can be within the tiny realms of our lives. Freddie did it too. ‘Heroes’ showing we too can be heroes.
@mmmtomtoddles It still pisses me off a bit that no one remembers that the way it should be too. I guess it was his bad luck to die on the same day as Freddie. All that anyone remembers that. I miss both of them. So much music left unfinished.
For everyone wondering why they had these two David Bowie songs and the rest were queen songs, is because Bowie and Mercury were good friends and these were Merucrys favourite songs by Bowie.
Great tribute, still sad to this day knowing that Mercury's not with us.
Speaking of heroes, Mick Ronson is playing here with liver cancer. This is his last live performance. He died one year later. If you want to check out one hell of a good album, get "Heaven and Hull", Mick's last recording. All kinds of great musicians on it. Best track: Bowie covering "Like a Rolling Stone" Stunning. Last track: All the Young Dudes (from this concert). Fantastic. RIP Mick Ronson and Freddie Mercury
Interesting that they had these 2 songs by David Bowie (Heroes too also makes me think of Marc Bolan) - in their entirety - while the rest of the concert is all Queen songs except for a few intros by other guests of their own songs. These songs must have been favorites of Freddie's I guess. They were all categorized as glam rockers - Queen, T. Rex, David Bowie, and Elton -
@afghanhound Knowing Bowie this was simply a deal. Two own song in the middle of the concert (plus a shared one - UP) or no appearance. He is a clever and tough guy... Queen would have done the very same approach in a reversed situation. So forget about the "favourite of Freddies" and likes of fairytales! :-) This concert was watched by more than one billion people...
Brilliant, can't say in remember this from the tribute concert but its one of the best songs looking back at the highlights, Bowie playing sax too to wow!!! how many people in thier time actually thought he sang the song. come on admit it lol.
Too bad the Thought Police cut out David Bowie's praying the Lord's Prayer. That was truly a beautiful spiritual moment during the show. Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory are Yours ....
actually he was fighting with a friend over a girl and his buddy was wearing a ring and punched bowie in the eye. The doctors performed surgery and had to leave the injured eye permanently dilated. The same guy that punched him is George Underwood; the same guy that did the artwork for his early covers
i was only seven when he died but i rember my dad crying and sinch that day i have lished to queen and loved the music and just watching this makes me fill like i was there i wish that i could have seen them but like i said i was to youn to know them bk then but freddie will always live in my hart thanx for put up theys videos
