with torrents people can easily see what you have been downloading

with NZB's you get 256 Bit SSL so they cant incriminate you

its user posted information posted to multiple servers shutting them down for copyright would be a little like shutting down you tube, plus their funded and can afford to defend themselves

the only problem is usenet is dying.

torrenting can never die because it is hosted by the people, not through servers. plus, with a proxy or two its hard as fuck to find anyone, and even if they do the only thing they can do is call your isp who sends you a letter which they dont even care about.

and your ISP connects you to the proxy if it isnt encrypted your ISP can see what your downloading through a proxy they look at what was downloaded to your pc not where your information was sent

also the ammount of posts on usenet is incresing newshosters have to increse storage without offering incresed retention

and look in the news there are people that have been made examples of being sued for thousands
