dude i live in dubai and want this phone, but my dad got me the ETEN glofiish X900,i wana return it but cant, now any places in dubai that have sales on this phone?
not only a goddamn racist!! your also a complete idiot. how dumb are you?!? hope not all Americans are as ignorant and fucked up as you. what a fucking retarded douche!!. GO get a world atlas and stare at it for a few months but i doubt it will seep in. fucking ignorant cunt. fucking embarrassing.
It will be released in North America. HTC built the phone to compete with Iphone sales, every htc phone sooner or later gets released in North America.
Has anyone seen SkyFire web browser? It very promising in the sense that it almost able to do all the things a desktop browser can do, especially watching videos online...
Has anyone tested skyfire on Touch HD yet? On skyfire's website, they say it won't work with WM WVGA devices... Has anyone tried it? It would be very cool if it can be done, that would be a done deal for me on choosing Touch HD... any replies would be appreciated. Thanks!
MAN THIS IS AMZING..lsn docc...i dont know whether ur following the tech news but the new palm phone is comin out...palm pre...it looks pretr amzing...the display seems amzing if u go to its website...i dont know which one to buy..palm or htc..i like the htc but i aint sure
Hi! I've been checking online videos of Touch HD and I must say, your videos beat all of them, good job... I'm more inclined now to buy it instead of LG Renoir...
Just a question, is there anyway to lock the phone? So you won't accidentally push any icon on the big screen when you put it on your pocket? If there's none, is it possible to get an application for it? Thanks!
Yes you can lock the phone, pressing the button on the top right, u can also have a lock code numerical/alphanumerical
BTW if ur getting the renoir cos u want a good cam, get the renoir/omnia/pixon/cybershot not the HD (better than iPhones but not good really, just high res)
P.S. HTC's full QWERTY keyboard now has the magnifying when keys are pressed & is very nice & surprisingly accurate, (harder as fingers get fatter mind you, & i don't have the slimmest..)
I loved Touch HD because of its high reso screen, coupled with nice menu and 3.8 screen! Yes you're right, I wanted to get the Renoir because of Viewty, but when I checked the review in gsmarena, was disappointed because I cannot play flash videos (according to the review, except for youtube i guess).. I've also checked online videos of LG renoir and they're not as fluid as the HTC HD when it comes to scrolling...Can you give me any tips on which to pick?
Touch Pro is a very nice device; please be advised though that thickness is a trade off for the sliding keyboard. If you're ok with that, then this would be a good choice. If you don't particularly want a sliding keyboard, then the Touch Diamond (smaller size) or the Touch HD (larger size, great media player) would be ideal options.
hello, i currently own a mogul and looking forward to upgrade to possibly this phone. are there many differences between this and the htc diamond? they both look the same to me.
The HTC Diamond is a lot smaller than the Touch HD. Although they share similar software elements, the size and usability are world's apart. Diamond is easily usable one handed, while the Touch HD requires two hands for comfortable use.
If you are in the USA, 3G works on the HTC Diamond but not on the Touch HD. Also, the Mogul has a slide out keyboard which neither the Diamond, nor the Touch HD do. If keyboard is a must for you, then you might want to consider the Touch Pro.
your awesome thanks alot man, yeah im currently getting sick of my mogul. There is a lag everytime i type test messages, i tried soft restart but doesnt really help. hopefully this isnt a problem with the touch pro
The Touch HD is a Windows Mobile device and is backed by one of the largest developer communities in the world; hence software would not be an issue as there is plenty of freeware as well as paid applications to suit your needs. SPB software is compatible as well :)
For dictionary, Lexisgoo is excellent. Ewallet is great for sensitive information and there are plenty of freeware converters around :)
did you say there is no 3G in this? so what does this mean? is the HTC slow in using the internet? i saw your video comparing it to the iphone, they both seemed to be around the same speed. but thats because you're using wifi.
im in the UK .. do you recommend getting the htc or iphone (they have a 3g network here).
I'm sorry i wasn't clearer earlier. The Touch HD DOES have 3G which works pretty much anywhere except USA.
As for Touch HD or the iPhone, it all depends on what you're basic use of the device is. If it's mainly for music and video's, then the iPhone makes more sense thanks to its ease of use and integration with iTunes. However, if you want a power packed business + pleasure device, then the Touch HD is currently unbeatable.
We have done a separate video for the keyboard itself so please take a few minutes to view that. If you have any questions or request, let us know and we'll do our best to assist you.

hi docc,
thanks for the quick reply. i really like your work here.
another question... regarding software.
im a former imate user.. and i spb's software was really helpful and made the experience easier.
could you talk about any recommended software, or at least the basics (eg: dictionary, converters, wallets etc)
if i got the htc hd, would i be able to install spb software on it?
