  • I think he's actually singing in a very prozaic way about wine.

  • my music teacher showed me this piece of music today and I am so impressed

  • Jesus Blood Never failed me yet

I am dying alone in Poverty and

    Regret

You got to love our Christian Brethren, the futility of their optimism has never failed me yet.

  • I remember so well as a young child watching the documentary where this gentleman tramp sung this beautiful song I think it was early 1970,s

His voice often comes into my mind when I feel scared , worried sad and through him I also sing this and feel safe again

  • This is such a moving piece of music. Wouldn't it be such a tribute to the memory of this old man if someone recorded it for the christmas market. It is too late this year but if someone produced it for next year and unashamedly tugged at the hearts of all caring people then there is the chance that some good could come out of it in the sales of the recording for the homeless here in Britain or indeed anywhere.

  • Jesus blood never fails. It is surely we who fail here. And even in the so called "God Forsaken" places Jesus is still there and never fails. Even if this old tramp fails, or has failed, Jesus blood never fails him and he knows it because, as he so sings "This one thing I know for he loves me so". His joy touched my heart and makes me realise that even when times are tough, Jesus blood never fails. This man's knowlege even in his poverty makes him richer than all of us and shames us.

  • @KRDeeks truth.

  • I don't people are understanding the irony behind this. Surely we can hear from this man that Jesus's blood has most definatley failed him. Fantastic piece of work, Gavin and Tom are genius.

  • @MachineAgainstTheRag until you have a personal relationship with Jesus you won't understand this mans heart and joy. Why do you think Christians are 'happy clappy' as I,ve heard say. Try it and mean it invite Him in. We do have it harder but this ugly world is not our home.

  • say what you will the guy can carry a tune

  • With His blood he bought the Church. And the gates of hades cannot prevail against it , thank You Lord !

  • So beautiful and touching. Praise God.
