  • Do you have the pattern for the pig?

  • whcich size needle??

  • @ThePsmskm When I make amigurumi, I always use a 4mm crochet hook with worsted weight yarn.

  • Wonderful! Even I'm brand new in the crochet world I understand everything, It's so easy, thank you very much for the tutorial, I'm making a cute monkey.

  • WOW!! This is a VERY awesome way to do these little legs. Thanks for sharing!! Especially the way it starts with the two loops over your finger. I've used this on several of my projects and it works great!!!

  • that pig is soooooo cute!!!!!!

  • YOU HELPED ME SO MUCH!!! -3 thank you!!! :)

  • thanks sooo much! this was uber-helpful!

  • I looooove you!

I didn't know how to sew arms or legs to the body >.<

Now I'll do it better :D

Sorry if my English is not the best ^^

But I understood you perfectly :D

  • This is so easy thanks so much for the tutorials!! all i want to do is make these amigurumis

  • I was wondering, how did you do the leggs on your rabit? It doesnt look like they weren't sown on. Hope you can help me :) You're vids are great help btw!

  • @Kimpeltjeuh You're right, that bunny's arms and legs were done in one piece. That's something I have planned for a future video. I haven't even shot that yet, for lack of time, but it's on my 'to do' list!

  • i'm confused why do you need a stitch marker when you usually take it out at the end?

    sorry beginners' question!

  • @echua96 Don't apologize, it's a good question! Crocheting in the round in a big spiral with no joins makes it easy to forget where the beginning of the round was without counting all the time. When you're following a pattern or just trying to match the number of rounds so both arms/legs are exactly the same size, a stitch marker helps you keep track of the number of stitches so you're not stopping to count stitches every single round. Markers aren't necessary, but they are helpful. :D

  • super video bien claire

  • this is so awesome!! i'm 17 and i love doing origami and 3d origami, id love to make these and give them with 3d origami baskets and felt roses! simply so adorable ^-^ thanks for the videos :) you are great ^-^

  • Your tutorials are absolutely fantastic, very concise and easy to understand. Your DevArt account is great too. I've picked up a few pattern books, and thanks to your help, I'm really looking forward to trying my hand at amigurumi! Thank you so much!

  • Thanks so much for the kind words! Be sure to send me a link when you post your amigurumi pictures! :D

  • can you post how to make the nose and tail for the piggy? That would be great! Thanks!

  • I'm glad you like it! I have the pattern for this pig available free from my journal on deviantART and on Ravelry, just search my name. Or google "wiremysoul amigurumi pig", the link to the pattern is the first result.

  • sucks. im allergic to acrylic yarn. it made my face get puffy for days.

  • There's no law saying amigurumi has to be made with acrylic! I've made a few with 100% cotton yarn and they turned out really gorgeous! You could stuff them with cotton batting instead of polyester, too. Natural fibres ROCK for amigurumi!

  • thanks~

  • very nice! thankyou :-) you explain it easy so I can understand! ;-)

  • You're welcome, and thank you!

  • This is so neat. My 12 year old is learning to crochet and I thin she would love this. Any book recommendations?

  • I haven't read any amigurumi books yet, but I do recommend seeing if your local library will get them in so you can browse them fully before buying. Some amigurumi books are only available in Japanese, and others, you would want to browse to make sure the skill level is appropriate. Pattern-reading can be daunting when you're starting out (was/still is for me!)

  • im 13 and im gettin into this stuff so i got a book. it has all kinds of cute little amigurumis ^-^

its called Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet

    ^-^

It has like 15 different patterns and a bonus fruit and little tiny amigurumi's too

    perfect gift :D

  • That's awesome! I've found amigurumi to be a great gift idea as well!

  • I am so greatful for this tutorial, I love the litle piggly wiggly legs its so cute!!

I want to make little dolls, is it possible for you to do a tutorial on that? Thanking you in Advanced!!

  • Thanks! A tutorial on whole dolls? That's why I've made several videos on small forms, so you can make them and put them together to make a whole doll of your choosing. Make balls for heads and bodies and tubes for arms and legs, and embellish it however you want with yarn for hair, buttons/safety eyes/embroidery for faces etc.

  • Oh cool!

    Thank you so much

  • I would like to know if you can tell me how you attach the legs/arms on back?

  • After binding off, I use the end of the yarn to sew it to the body wherever I want it placed. Just plain stitching.

  • YOu are soooo good where did u get the pattern for the piggy???? please i really want to try to make one you are the best at explaining!!

  • I agree with Nyctophora. Your tutorials have just the right speed and you are very good at explaining as you go. :)

Very helpul for an amigurumi newbeginner!

I like that you show the recipe along the way in the video. I could never understand the abbrevations but now it's more clear o me ^^ Thank you!

  • Thanks very much for saying so! I'm happy to be helpful! XD

  • Thank you so much! I now understand how the starting ring works :) This is a really good explanation at just the right speed. Also, you have a nice voice :) Very clear.

  • Thanks so much! I'm glad it was helpful!

  • Hi. Just wondering, is there a difference between the double ring and the usual chain 6? They seem really different but somehow end up looking the same.

  • If you stitch that chain circle shut really nicely, then no, there's not much difference at all. But the double ring effectively eliminates a centre hole in the circle.

  • you make it all make sense! Thanks, I get it now.

  • Excellent! I love to read comments like this! Thanks!

  • This is awesome! Thank you very much!

You really gave me help. :)

    Keep doing them doing. :)

  • I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for commenting!

  • it so cute

  • Thanks!
