  • Can somebody explain where is yoga in all this?

  • as I understand it, yoga means union of mind, body and spirit that occurs when we exist in the present moment, this can happen during any passtime. In the West people think of yoga as a form of physical exercise when that is just asana and a small part of yoga

  • Yogawirral has explained it well, the ancient philosopy of Jyog or Yoga (union), goes beyond physical postures. Nritya yoga combines the philosophy of ancient Indian classical/sacred dance and the ancient philosophies and practices of Jyog (Yoga) combining Yogadance postures, breathwork, body/spinework, visualizations, mudrawork and combining philosophies of various forms of yoga, not only Hatha, but also Raja, Bhakti, Gyana, Mantra, and many other forms of yoga which involve work from within.

  • beautiful!!!!

  • Amrita is based in Montreal, Canada, but teaches all over the world. This instructional dvd is really great!!

  • This is amazingly beautifil, i wish i could take classes from Amrita, where does she teach ?

  • Dear Amrita,

Dance is truly your element, your "authority", your talent and gift - to you and to the world.

You look so completely comfortable teaching without ever intimidating the beginner.

In dance your beauty radiates marvelously. Your movements are utterly graceful, inviting, inspiring.

I've taken your classes and I know that you live up to everything in the video and more in real life - but how wonderful to be able to view it anytime I feel the urge to move - and I DO!

  • A work of art and creation that leaves you in joy and peace in your heart. Amrita's grace, technique and postures come alive through this ancient practice of Nritya Yoga, a practice many have forgotten in this age. The dvd is truly educational, spiritual, therapeutic, and joyful. The mudra demonstations are clear and precise.Amrita is a teacher who truly knows how to teach with a unique, sensitive and compassionate approach. Thank you so much.
