  • so if i go to school to be a licensed makeup artist, i would take the esthetician course right? thanks!

  • @Alyersa You don't have to be licensed to be a makeup artist, at least not at the moment. Esthetics courses don't usually go that deep into makeup. You might spend a few days to a week on it, depending on the teacher. If you just want to do makeup and would like training you might want to think about attending a school specif to makeup artistry. I hoped that helped. Thanks for watching.

  • I would like to be aesthetician and a massage therapist but I don't want to do makeup because I barely wear it because I am unemployed and stay In the house all day long.

  • but sometimes i be feeling discouraged and im know ima be too hard on myself...i was just going to get in a healthcare job. i know that i dont like math and i dont want to do anything gross..if u had to pick a job in the healthcare field, what would it be and why?

  • i was thinkin about being an Esthetics but i don't wanna work for commission...i dont think im that patient. what if it takes too long to build my clientele?...

  • @CaressLorthaya If you are a hustler and have a great location it shouldn't be that hard. You have to make yourself known in the community and get people to trust you. If you're in a great location (i.e. mall, tourist area, strip mall etc) then you have to work the area and HUSTLE! it sounds hard, but it can work. Sometimes you might have to go outside of your area to look for clients. If you work at a very busy spa you might not have to worry about that very much.

  • hmmm??.....

  • @CaressLorthaya whats with the hmmmmm?

  • love your personality i subbed

  • @katiedoyle56 awwww thank you soooooooo much

  • Do you need more schooling to work in hospitals as an esthetican?

  • @analyticalw It would require some college depending on what you wanted to do. My friend wanted to work in the burn unit at our local hospital so she volunteered in the burn unit while going to school to learn more about the skin, the way it responds to certain medical treatments and the new technologies in the medical field. You need to decided what you want to do in a hospital dealing with skin or how to apply what you learn volunteering at a hospital or with a derm and use it on your own.

  • @analyticalw you should try medical spas or derm offices to look for work.

  • Thanks for the helpful information

  • I want to be a nutritionist because of what you said. I am trying to start doing more skin care on my channel and hair care.

I never considered using my degree at a med. spa. I will keep that in mind, thank you. :) And have been considering starting a skin care line.

  • @quitejaded There is lots of money in med asthetics, use your degree to your advantage. I wish you all the best of luck on starting your skin care line. I would be happy to try your products.

  • I'm going to college, just to get some pre-reqs. out of the way, but I really want to become an Esthetician. Is it alright if I message you about it? You're the first person to actually talk about what they do haha.

  • Retina was great for me for about 6 months, then my skin got so red, and broke out more and more. I've tried every type of acne medication around, and my skin always becomes immuned to it. So I competely agree about changing it up.
