I started a starter 2 days ago, I fed it for the first time yesterday and now on the day 3 it is all frothy on top, but no bubbles along the side of the jar. Does it mean it is close to completion or am I too impatient?
cool thanks for the info. I've been struggling with a starter myself. Trial and error but I haven't lost it yet. It's still ALIVE! Trying to cut corners in this economy. I kept expecting some sort of piano playing or silent movie accompaniment. LOL!
No...there IS (and should be) a sour smell...kinda like beer. You "will" see bubbles. Otherwise...it did not "take"
