Most of these are really minimalistic, and a lot of them quite dark, especially for a children's show. They set the tone for the episode without giving too much away. (At 0:48) I don't think many shows for children would start with an image of a barbed wire fence.

@BizarroAntiSuperman9 a fantastic show, though my favorite is the new batman adventures, this one is everything i could hope for in a good cartoon.
