  • nice tank. ugly fish

  • wtf what a waste of a 55 gallon with all those fish just get a 10 gallon at least get like an oscar or a pacu or maroon shark but mollies at least get some cool fish

  • @MrCamHd Platy are cool fish. I have kept cichlids for decades but I have never found them anywhere near as interesting as the live bearers.

  • Looks like crap

  • that tank look bigger then 55

  • most aquaria i hate because they put 10 goldfish in a 10 gallon i like yours because its understocked like mine

  • This is the decor i want to achieve for my Tropical tank that i'm in the middle of setting up! :)

  • @mysticgatherings I second that!!!!!

  • I'm a college student and wish I could have something as large as a 55.

However, my parents won't let me own one until I move out.

    T_T

  • OMg !! Where did you get those big big stones from? please respond. =]

  • thumps up.Well maintaned tank. Dark stones bring a unique view to that tank

  • Beautiful aquarium :) But aint there in need for some few more plants? Fish needs a safe place to hide

  • clear tank and tons of space

  • very impressive!great work

  • Shouldn't they have the little thing that blows air?

  • very nice! i love the stones set up over the gravel, nice idea.

  • Good choice of fish those gourmies might get big fast

  • isnt that a live sand u have in ur tank?

  • i LOVE colorful fish! do you have any?

  • A very nice planted tank, great work. keep us updated

  • dude get bigger fish man but nice tank

  • I LOOOOv this tank it has a minimalist zen feel to it..the contrast of the orange fish n grey rocks are very eye catching Great job

  • Wow nice BG you have there. You might wanna get some more fish btw

  • You really should put some places for them to hide.

  • Or you can go to petco when they have the $1 gallon sale ;-)

  • great looking tank

  • nice! everything works together in a calm sort of way

  • Wow VERY nice tank! check out my freshwater tank if you got time. (Only 20 gal. :( )

  • get some sick lits in there, tank is boring.

  • boring with kind of fish in it...

  • Beautiful tank. I love this setup. I was just wondering what substrate you used because i put some sand in mine but it was such a pain to clean and most of it would get sucked up the syphon so what is your called?

  • some discus would look nice in there

  • u need more fish

  • Wow what a crystal clear tank, very nice

  • @steviedeej thanks.

  • @theotheragentm so boring of a tank

  • What kind of rocks are those and where do you get them? Just set up my 55 gallon with a black and white theme and those black rocks! would go perfect on my white gravel!

  • @mysticgatherings those rocks i bought from home depot. they're called mexican river stones. they're dark gray, not quite black.

  • tho its a bit roomy it still looks better than alot of tanks (P.S mine)

  • great tank i like ur molly and the rocks and plants

  • great tank i like ur molly and gold

  • It's looks a little bit boring :O

  • nice videos comment rate and subb ill do the same

  • what kind of sand is that and where could i buy it? i might be getting a 75 gallon tank soon

  • @cbeck228 the sand is called pool filter sand and is available at any pool supply store. 1.5 bags at $10/bag should cover a 75 gallon tank.

  • help i will sub to anyone that helps me

i have 6 zebra danio and now they are all hiding in the rocks posibly because of the sun light help

  • hey nice setup. I one day wish to get a 55 gallon tank. Right now i stick to my 10 breeding guppies. btw were did you get that black guppy?

  • @Frenzy11297 that black fish is a molly, not a guppy.

  • is that a opti white tank ? looks nice

  • nice i like it please check out mine thanks!!

  • what fish r those in the beginning

  • @dhizzy11 those fish are platies.

  • very nice! but for the fish i would used somthing they can hide and swim under and more bigger plants :)

  • this is beautiful!

it looks so simple and minimalist, and definitely suits a modern minimalist house :D

  • Comment removed

  • you should get a school going of some sort. neon tetras would look great in there. it just looks kinda onorganised lol

  • i like how simple it is. puts the focus more on the fish

  • just becasue it looks nice to you doesnt mean that your fish are happy.you should add plants or a high stack of rocks, fish like to hide.they dont like being exposed to light and other fish all of the time.

  • great tank ..this is my new hobby i'm enjoying it thus far

  • hey what lightning do use?

  • Good job on the tank but get some more fish

  • pls not so many plants ...

  • What kinda lighting is that?

  • What type of filtering system do you use. I try to filter my oscar's tank, I have four under gravel filters and it stays clear for maybe two days, and it gets green in maybe two weeks. The light is on only at night.

  • @dsmrollerz90 Oscars are very messy eaters. On top of that you may be over feeding. I use a cannister filter on my tank.

  • @dsmrollerz90 the new Tetra EX bio-series is both carbon and bio filtration system. Undergravel filters are old technology. This should not be happening(the messiness). Using carbon with the natural bacteria filtering is 10x more efficient and naturally healthy. Check with your local pet stores. Plus they are inexpensive.

  • @dsmrollerz90 try giving them live fish to eat. it keeps the water cleaner. thats wat i do and if the water turns green then maybe your aquarium get direct sunlight dude.

  • @dsmrollerz90 they are very good pets

  • whats the name of the red fish ?

    greetz

  • you should get a fan shrimp or two in there :D

  • Can you tell me what is this substrate?

  • @mhk144 looks like gravel and as he said river stones

  • you should try some of this awesome fish food. mrfishflakesDOTcom

  • are these purple and blue stones or its just a light colour shining on its like this???

  • Omg that tank is sweeeeeeet!

  • @giuneapigs22 its kinda boring as well.

  • very nice, kind of reminds me of my aquarium. check min eout if you can

  • I like the rocks dude! I have a Oscar on my 55 gallon

  • how do people have money for all this

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 it's not that expensive when you compare it to any other hobby. that whole setup was $400. while that's nothing small, think about photography hobbyists or cycling hobbyists.

  • @theotheragentm i was into rc cars and that ran me about $100 in broken parts every month and if i wanted to up grade something it would be about 300 for something electrical... when i was done i had saved my recets from purchases, all added up was $1243.51... just for one rc car

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 its called a job lol

  • @cleerin1 lol well im only 14

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 well you can save up lunch money thats what i did lol or carwash or go around the naeighbor hood like see if you can help some one out for 10 bucks like wash there cars

  • @Rbrocketsballer30

look on the internet and you can see all the ways people find to cut corners and set up tanks on the cheap!!!

i.e. kitty litter substrate, diy co2 etc

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 they get a job.

  • @Rbrocketsballer30

It's not that expensive of a hobby, at least fresh water tanks. Salt water on the other hand...

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 What a dumb question? Just like people have money for all of the truly wasteful things such as Wendy's, MCdonalds, five times a week. Britney, Justin Beiber Cd's and concerts. Cable tv's in every room, that's a pretty penny each month, and the list goes on. If you have to ask a question like that you have no idea the pure joy an aquarium brings.

  • @mysticgatherings dude chill im just a kid im not old enough to have a job so i dont have a lot of money. and whenever i eat fast food my family orders dollar menu to save money and we bring our own drinks and chips.

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 Hell yes, dollar menu bro

  • @mysticgatherings dude i dont eat fast food i have never gone to a concert we have 2 cable tvs. anything my family buys is on sale or we use coupons oh and we have $34,000 in apple and im 14 i cant have a job so just shut your fing mouth

  • @mysticgatherings It's a zen thing (%)

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 It's not thaaaat expensive for a tank like this if you get it second hand. If you really love it you can put away 10 dollars a week and in a few months you can buy one just like this.

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 ; All this? It's a friggin fish tank, not a Bentley.

  • @Rbrocketsballer30 Because some people arn't out on the streets buying & taking drugs & pissing money down the drains from booze or paying fines for smashing shit up. Thats how people afford beautiful things like this Aquarium!

  • You're tank is very nice. I love the look of all the rock at the bottom and just the few plants are very pretty. And I love the contrast of the orange fish against the darker stone.

  • Very nice, love the simplicity and the gouramis

  • Booo

  • Really nice, very relaxing. Nice looking tank too.

  • hi, what plants are they also what type of rock is in the tank. Cheers mate

  • @anfff those plants are not aquatic and rotted eventually. don't use plants like that. the rocks were bought from home depot and are called "mexican river stones" i believe.

  • @theotheragentm Pretty sure the ones with the stripes are lemon-lime plants. Non-aquatic and they get huge. I've had one in a pot for a couple years now. Very nice plant.

  • @theotheragentm Yeah, I was sold the same plants as aquatic too. I got them Petsmart. Luckily, I looked them up before putting them in the tank. They're in a planter beside it though! ;0)

  • MOLLIES : )

  • of that tipe of fish you can put more than 20 in that aquarium

  • @41aims Okay, I am smart for 12, but you can put more fish in a 2.5 gallon tank. What are you? Major Stupidy? Or Dr. Stupid Idiot?

  • MOLLYS OR PLATIES WAT EVER WHAT A WASTE OF A TANK. YOU SHOULD GET SOMTHING LIKE CICHLIDS OR SOMTHING.

  • Will you ever get bigger plants?

  • best tank ive seen!

  • those fish are lucky to have such a big space! nice

  • get like 5 angle fish it looks cool when they school together

  • nice fish tank dude

  • @MasterMarioBro ??????????????????? why spam this this does`nt insult anyone

  • hey dude - check my fish tank out!! i ave the same platys as you-btw wat do u feed them as they dont take most of my flakes??

  • fish look happy awesome job

  • 41aims your retarded

  • this is pretty !!

  • no more fish....

    it´s perfect

    less is more !!

  • Nicee love the setup mind if I steal Ur idea ??? :D

  • u need more fish man

  • ok I have a 180 gallon tank and it has 3 guppies, this is the max bioload for this tank, you have to remember the fish's orginal habitat. Putting that many fish in a 55 gallon tank is just abuse.

  • @41aims looks like people cant engage the sarcasm detectors eh?

  • @41aims Dude...seriously? THREE Guppies in 180 GALLONS? That tank must be lonely unless its got more plans than fish...but this tank in the video is just perfect, can't you see the fish are happy? There swimming around and just having fun chasing one another. This isn't abuse. This tank is absolutely perfect.

  • @41aims

I hope you are being sarcastic

  • i have just recently bought a tank about 3 weeks ago i think and want to decorate it nicely, i have a backing that i have to trim properly to make it presentable but has anyone got any other ideas?

  • WOW. WAY way way overstocked, those poor fish!

  • @41aims that better be a joke.

  • @hippofairy34 are you kidding, those fish grow up to be 2.5 inches large! that tank simply can't hold the bioload.

  • @41aims quit complaining woman

  • @41aims okay 41aims. Im completely confident that 4 platties and a couple gouramis is NOT freakin overcrowded. Idk who you are or what the heck you're thinking, but you are abviously misinformed.

  • dude get bichir fire eel and spiny eel for tis tank

  • this would be a good cichlid tank

  • Nice tank

  • very nice

  • beautifull

  • Nice tank and setup but you should gey cichlids. they are better in so many ways.

  • hey r these fish good tank mates: 2 females gourami, 1 male gourami, 2 koi, 1 ryukin and 1 pleco.(they are in a 55g tank)

    p.s

everyone ignore me when i said they weren't

    (sorry for bad grammar)

  • @MrHatZero THe tank is far too small. Kois can reach over three feet in length and are strictly pond fish. The pleco might also get too big.

  • @MyFishCare101 There is no koi in that tank it has platies but yes it is far to small for koi even the smallest koi get to be 24 inches

  • u know the orange and yellow fish right at the bigining of the vid i have 1 red and yellow and one green they are nice fish and i love your tank so so sos sos so much

  • thats a really beautiful tank! It looks so fresh and clean :D i have a real hard time keeping algae away, and how do you keep your plants so green? once mine starts to grow allot they grow a greenish brown and loose their vibrancy, despite me using fertilizer :/

  • @AwStitch626

If your tanks big enough could get a pleco or 2, BN plecos grow under 5 inches take a while to get that big aswell they will take care of algae. Think some types of shrimp (amano/red cherry?) will eat algae aswell.

How long do you keep your lights on for? leaving them on too long will promote algae and damage your plants. Could be type of plants you get ive had no luck with some, prob ones that require alot of light or something.

  • @telfertbh ive had ottos before in their ( its a 90 litre tank) id like to have cherry shrimp again :)

I keep my lights on for about 6-9 hours :) i have a few species of crypts , the anubias in my tank does well though, that keeps green :)

  • @AwStitch626

Youd get a bristlenose in there no prob maybe if it got to full size then i dunno maybe not ideal i had 2 in a 64 litre (about 2-3 inches each) and did fine with lots of wood, they are in a 4 foot now tho and have spawned :), can go for other algae eating stuff obv.

Yeh i got a anubias attatched to some wood the other day and it makes the other plants in my tank look worn out...lol such a solid dark green rest of my stuff is a bit yellowy in places been using ferts mite try co2

  • @telfertbh yeah ive seen bristlenoses before he he their so funny :3 i had a clown pleco in my 40 litre he was very shy and stayed at the back of my bog wood all the time,so i gave him to my friend who had a bigger tank with lots of castles and things where he'd hide in them :)'yeah i used to have grasses which went yellow, i dont know im bad with grass xD the finer more grassy like crypt i have stays green but its a real slow grower and it has more of a harder root system like an anubias. :)

  • simple, yet elegant

  • that was only a few hours ago. after i cleaned it, it was all nice and clean and i though i was ready to put everything back in the tank,. now when i touch the gravel, dirt goes everywhere. where in the world is this crap coming from?????

  • @brandonkr

You've got to wash all that gravel out before you put your tank together, soak the gravel in a bucket of water for at least a day. If that doesn't clean it properly try larger gravel.

  • ok i have no clue how you people can put up with keeping fish, because ive had my tank for about a couple months now, maybe more, and all i have is problems after problems. so i finally got my nitrates and nitrites down, and now i think my fish have ick. so i went down to the store and bought some ick medicine. i put it in and now i think my clown loach is dying. PLUS the gravel is getting dirt from literally nowhere because i did a water changes and vacuumed the gravel, it was filthy. and...

  • your fish sucks you should put 2 fancy goldfish its good for a 55 gallon tank

  • I like those larger rocks! Do they have a name? and Where do I get them?

  • I like those larger rocks! Do they have a name? and Where do I get them?

  • very nice and simple!

  • love that tank please tell me what substrate u use :)

  • That tank is really nice, love the setup, I wanna do the same thing but will have bigger fish. Really nice.

  • how much did you get the tank for?

  • cool set up it kind of looks like a Cichlid tank

  • hey can any body help me out? I'm new to keeping live plants and all that jazz any plants that are easy to take care of and have a ph level of 6.0-7.0? please help!!!!!

    Adam

  • this is a great tank you have inspired me to do something the same

  • hey i saw some bacterial supplements at the store and i was wondering if u need to use it for every water change. i have a 36 gallon freshwater tank.

  • @brandonkr don't bother. just treat for chlorine in the tap water.

  • @theotheragentm hi nice aquarium im new on this i got my first aquarium i dont add any fish yet whats the normal water temp i need to use ? thanks

  • @3LD3VIL it depends on the type of fish. discus need much higher temperature. you can get away with 72-75 for most tropical fish.

  • @theotheragentm i add 5 fish but now i see the water is a little cloudy and i have the filter running i add biological filtration booster and other to remove chlorine chloramine ammonia nitrate and nitrite but still cloudy what u recommend me to use your water looks amazing clean thanks for your help

  • @3LD3VIL cloudy could be the formation of bacteria for your tank, which is a good thing. the other possibility is that it's just cloudy from sediment being kicked up. do a 50% water change and see how that goes. then let it sit for a day. if it clouds up again, do the same 50% water change daily.

  • @theotheragentm thanks again im going to change 50% water thanks

  • @theotheragentm no no no let it stay cloudy it will look bad (i went threw same thing) but it will clear up in about a week or 2

P.S. do 10% water change weekly
