Saabaru Launch with P&L Exhaust

Loving this Saabaru! Super controled launch with little to no squat. I realize that this is an old video but I'd like to know what the suspension set-up is on it?

Jeez its funny how people are still getting very emotional over an off the cuff comment i made over 2 years ago, This is not a Saab this "car" is built in Japan in the same factory and by the same people that build the Subaru Impreza. It has the same flat 4 engine, transmission, steering and overall appearance of an Impreza.

I dont know why all you Saab guys are so touchy about this.

Saab has no identity these days, In the Uk Saab sells Vauxhalls with a Saab badge glued on, Same thing really.

this Saab was made by Subaru. look it up.

It has the 2.5L WRX engine(06-07 WRX)

Even the suspension parts and everything is interchangeable with a WRX. It just has a different front end and hatch

you are right but the 2005 saaburu had the 2.0L wrx engine found in the '02-'05 subies.

Let's see... walking Evos, STIs, Vettes and M5s in a Saab wagon is even more fun (aka sleeper) than doing it in an Impreza.  Plus the insurance is cheaper and it looks better. So there's your answer.

Obviously, I know that I essentially have a WRX wagon. However, most people don't know that little fact. There is no way I'd be driving a "real" Saab. In addition to new badges the 9-2X also gets the STI steering rack, a better suspension and better looking sheet metal.

Because the Saab has better steering (STi steering rack), better suspension, more sound insulation, better interior, and it looks better.... Oh, and it is cheaper to buy and cheaper to insure.

It was a marked up price from the Subie, but because it sold so poorly, the GM incentives/discounts/etc. lowered the price to well below that of a WRX. But I was talking in terms of used, anyhow. They are worth much less now than Subies are, so it's a great deal. All the Subie go in a better looking body, and cheaper to buy and insure! And, it's rare. win win win win win .
