Damn 1000w psu for that build is beast, U wont need one for while. You can run two 6990's on that. (Depending on how much stuff u got in there.)

That's a nice rig. All that, and only one video card?! ;-) Im getting the same case, RAM, but am getting a slightly different heat sink, but has the same idea. Where it blows to the rear of the case. What was concerning me was the RAM heat sink fan might get in the way of the processor fan. From seeing this, it looks like it fits like a glove! Sweet set up brah!

Sweet build, although I would have gone with a meatier graphics card for sure. I used to have a 5770 and I swapped it out for dual 6970's in Xfire. Check out my channel if you wanna see it and get an idea for fan noise.

likes nice but that cpu fan i got the same one when i built my new rig and i got to say its a fail my temps where off the charts i was getting in the 70c at just 4.5ghz with my core i5 2500k and i got the V8 and they are under under 60 at 4.5 and a little under 70 at 5ghz just for testing just a heads up dont know if you plan on over clocking but i did like the color on the fan if u did get the one with the LEDs oh yeah the RPMs for mine where like 1200 and would not move this one over 2000rpms

With the 2600K series, if you don't overclock it your wasting your money. 4.5GHz on your CPU cooler is no problem! I have a cheap Cooler Master tower style (212+) and I have my 2600K running 5GHz and even under 100% load (Prime and Intel Burn) it never goes over 170*F.

@geoff972 - Thats not true. This may come as a shock to you but, many people do more than just play games with their gaming PC. An i7 has more L3 cache and hyperthreading that will make it faster clock for clock than any i5. I understand in "most" games they are pretty even clock for clock but no in threaded apps and multi-tasking.

I also dont mean to bitch, ripjaw, Not a good brand, upgrading from 8gb to 16gb was a waste of money ur gaming wouldn't of been effected by the extra 8 gb ram at all. ur mobo is decent but you were better of with a gigabyte, asus has become expensive just for its name their motherboards aren't great so forth, ur psu is fair decent but tbh u should of went with corsair or enermax even a silver stone, I agree with Hitso you should of payed more attention to ur gfx card than ur mobo

Not to bitch, but it would have been more cost effective to just get a 2500k, 4 gigabytes of RAM, and to funnel the money you saved into the video card. The first rule of building a gaming PC is to spend more on your video card than your processor. Also, you probably didn't need a 1000 watt PSU, especially with that video card. You would have been fine with a 700 watt one.

Cable management, trash the mem fan, has been proven that the fan does absolutely nothing but mess up the intake out-take of your case. Then the build will be perfect :)

@FalineCGI no no no, haha if you are not going full watercooling setup, which could be 200-500+ dollars do not get a all in one water cooling setup. Me saying this for the one reason of watercooling setups nature turn the water into watervapor. Burning off the water inside slowly due to cold water+hot CPU. This is why you have to add water to your custom loop. But with all in ones you can not add or even see when you are running low. Causing a problem...

@FalineCGI sorry long response... but of course that problem being you will not see when you are out of coolant the CPU will burn up and get hot. Esp if you are going to run a overlook. If you don't want a custom loop, I recommend a NH-D14 from noctua.. very good air cooler for you. Will be great for overclocking also. Will give you temps around what a watercooling custom loop would. And for around the same price as a h50 that you wanted. But no, all in ones like that listed are garbage.
