The fact that BHFD is an I.S.O. Class 1 rated FD, staffing 3 fire stations in a city only 5.5 square miles has a lot to do with their response times. That means a WHOLE 1st alarm assignment is on scene ready to WORK in 3-4 minutes; not still responding like you may see with a larger or more rural department. Some individual LAFD stations cover a first-in district larger than whole City of BH. Let's just say, you get what you pay for.
