I have this camera and I love it, had it maybe close to two yrs now (can't remember, damn you technology). Anyway takes beautiful images, especially in daylight. What I did not find out until it was to late was no external mic jack. I like the cinema mode a lot, and used the fireworks mode a few times with excellent results. I import mostly to iMovie and take the files that I really need to edit in Final Cut as .mov files. It records in an .MTS file that I have a hard time dealing with.

what does this camera record in? MP4? does anyone know? or if I can easily import the footage I take straight into Adobe After Effects???? PLEASE?????

@RossHildick3D films to AVCHD format, wont work directly into AE, but you just need o convert it to AVI or something

This camcorder records into a AVCHD format, I have a AVCHD camcorder too, and I use adobe after effects, its not a problem for me.

I have that camera and editing is very easy. Editing with a mac goes better than a windows computer.
