I agree with what everyone has said on this page. I was very surprised Margaret Thatcher broke down during this interview. It was very touching. He would have been a gracious loser had it been a general election lose. It was being betrayed by friends that hurt, and thats why she has never been able to accept it.
I never saw the Michael Brunson interview, Brunson is right, she was betrayed, I would like to have seen her lose an Election as I think she would have been gracious in defeat, it probably would have been Tony Blair, she would have won a 4th term I'm sure, and Iam a Labour man, Kinnock was useless !!
That interview showing her tearful over being ousted by foolish Conservative members choked me to the point where I nearly shed a few myself. It was a terrible decision to remove the one person who had single handedly saved Britain from going down the pan, doing such a stunning job along the way.
All I will say is that we need someone like her now... this weak and limp bunch of characters is precisely what Maggie fought against and put down to keep the country strong!
3 cheers for Prime Minister Thatcher ! A true lady in all sense of the word ! class, stamina, dexterity, not afraid to do the right thing, fearless and stubborn ! If every politician had these quality, we would be living in a wonderful world !
If she had been voted out at a general election she could have accepted it because she believed so strongly in democracy. But to be stabbed in the back by her own cabinet was beyond treaturous. I have no doubt she could be a bully, autocratic etc. but you do not become a great leader by agreeing with everyone!
