I can understand Kevin in this episode so well, because I got that same feeling about a recital I needed to work out. I know I could have been alot better than what I've said in front of the class... *sigh*
I just wish to put my knowledge about this in the head of my teacher so she can understand that I knew better than what I've spoken of... *sigh*
I had a teacher like this who scoffed at someone being satisfied with getting anything less than an A. These type of teachers instill the concept of striving to get the best grade by studying hard and using no shortcuts. Excellent episode.
It's funny how Jack just pops in every now and again with a "Hey Kev" and gets called a great father, yet here is Mr Collins doing the extra bit, giving up his time, taking an active interest in Kevin as opposed to Jacks' passiveness. Mr Collins doesn't owe Kevin anything but in some ways offers him more than what should be expected of Jack.
@landrykkb no he wasn't. it's a ridiculous assumption to think that someone who isn't showing emotion doesn't FEEL emotion. Some people are just not EMOTIVE. They tend to be more emotional and sensitive than those who run around being dramatically emotional all the time. Why? Because it means more to them. Those super-emotive people tend to be performing. And it's phony.
@groovylocks While I do agree with you that there's a lot of drama queens who get off on performing,I just meant that he didn't display his emotions at all,not that he was cruel and heartless like you obviously interpreted this to mean.
that's so cool how jack is okay with kevin getting c's on his tests. there are some parents that freak out whenever their kids get anything below an a-. i had a friend who's dad would call up the school to try to convince the teachers to switch her grades from a c/d to b's :-P
@BeatlesFetish09 because he knows he is trying and giving effort and still passing. It isn't like he is a genius and get's A's in his sleep like Paul.
I love how Jack just peaks in and checks up on Kevin once in a while. lol It shows how much concern he has for Kevin and how proud of him he is. lol ;)
