Adam, so is it mandatory to have the 7 and 8 , or 1 2 (3) 4 5 (6) 7 (8) 9 (10) 11 (12),,or accent on the 7 and 8?? now i have hear that a lot of Flamencos start the accent on 12? is this true or not?
@espino661 , In Soleá the counting starts on 1. In Alegría, in the dance sometimes on 12. The accents in the basic structure fall on 3,6,8,10,12 or 3,7,8,10,12. However, there are other patterns that run inside those basic structures which are hard to write down, without at least music notation. Its best to demonstrate. As far as musical phrases, they are composed around the basic compás structures but they play around them and with them. It's like a game of rhythmic dialogue...Take care!

no offense but is the guitar a fashion statement, I mean you talk a lot and I've seen you play and you're heaps good but I just want to learn some good flamenco riffs.
well then you are going to have to shut up and put up some money to learn some "riffs". The art of flamenco is a strict undertaking requiring more than just a few riffs to get you through the process.

1) file them, don't cut them. b) use a liquid vinyl nail varnish 3) rub almond oil into the base of the nail each day 4) Take silica tablets for a while to harden you nails and 5) try to keep them dry. Use rubber gloves for washing up etc 6) try a high protein diet. 7) investigate calcium tablets and see a herbalist for companion vitamins. It won't be one thing that will do it but combinations.
