  • So cool. I came here looking up Animal Collective clips. A related video was some kids doing a deerhunter cover and I'm like "I've heard this name before" so I look them up and this was one of the results, pretty good.

  • saw them for the first time on a pier in nyc on two hits of acid at sunset, changed my life

  • shut the hel... shut your mouth <3

  • You guys are fucking insane! just live life and what ever happens.... happens for a reason. Chill out on all the fucking guru shit...

  • <3

  • @ThisGuyLikesToSkate Someone's an asshole.

  • @BigTuna1994 Haha My little brother's friend must have written that when I was away from the keyboard.

  • @ThisGuyLikesToSkate So much angst for such a little guy. (I'm assuming he's little.)

  • I can't breathe with you looking at me...

  • The build up is very deceptive.

  • better live than original

  • Monstrous, on par with MBV's You Made Me Realise.

  • i can't describe it

  • wow amazing, absolutely amazing...

  • what pedal is he stomping on at 00:38?

  • @morganisspiderman Line 6 Green Loop pedal i belive, cheers

  • @morganisspiderman Boss Digital Delay, likely the DD-6.

  • @NovacGustav Thank you!

  • This is the first time I've heard this song...

After the song was finished I was shocked when it said that it was 17 minutes!

  • Simultaneously listening and speaking. This is what music is for me. They do it very well.

  • in sweetness comes suffering

  • i like deerhunter someone reccommend me some other good bands im sure to love, please reply people

  • @geniusgza7 You might enjoy Chapel Club. They cite Deerhunter as one of their influences. They aren't just a clone, though, their stuff can be a bit darker and a bit more introspective but they maintain that airy, almost ambient quality that Deerhunter has. They also have some faster, more 'rock' or 'shoegazy' type songs too. The lyrics are great too. for Deerhunter type songs I suggest 'The Shore' 'O maybe I' or 'All the Eastern Girls'. For the more aggressive stuff 'Surfacing' and 'Five trees'

  • That transition was flawless...

  • When i heard this album it satisfied me in such a way that i knew i'd been waiting for this sound my whole life. Really can hardly wait until they come to the mid west. Hopefully they come up to Madison, Wisconsin some time soon.

  • BOBA FETT

  • this is amazing but what is up with that mustache

  • I love this band more than most things in this world, I need to master ambient drumming

  • this has 235 likes and no dislikes. that's far out, deerhunter da best

  • looking forward to Atlas SOUND NEW ALBUM

  • anyone know how hes getting that sound?

  • @sasukenebe100 a lot of pedals lol

  • @sasukenebe100 pitch shifters, reverbs, loop pedals and short delays. Its not any one pedal, it's combinations of stuff. Would be too complicated to guess exactly how they're using these effects, but its more about approach to playing than any particular gear - if you get all that sound flying around you have to be happy to live with any 'mistakes' you make, as it's really hard to fully control all that stuff. All part of the punk ethos :)

  • slow building nostalgia. just amazing.

i wouldn't be surprised if they ended the next decade as the best and most influential band from that time period.

  • @saccredtwin no shit!! :D

  • @saccredtwin still not as good as tame impala

  • <3 Ianfgt

  • just saw them play this last night. it was bliss.

  • feel soooooo sorry for all the schmucks who have never been exposed to this amazing band.........bradford is just too freakin' amazing......

  • hell of a performance, truly memorable and significant

  • Bradford Cox made some cosmic trade which sacrificed his bodies physical appearence to supplement the beauty of his mind and sol, i would have made the same trade.

  • @CorSmith94 I think he's beautiful, actually.

  • @CorSmith94

No it was randomly dealt to him. But if one could choose, I'd like to think that that's what I'd pick.

  • Best band out there. Period. They are magicians. Nay, wizards.

  • Ahh all those magical foot levers! Mr Cox is a true craftsman of sound! They sound like sonic water drops of nostalgia dripping onto my crown only to evaporate into a void of derealization. I need those foot levers!!!

  • fucking love that green jacket of his

  • their music is out of this world

  • Impeccable Like to Dislike ratio.

  • This is an audio orgasm.

  • Best band going.

  • I favorited this before it even finished. Mr. Cox you are genius!

  • I want to do an interpretive dance to this performance

  • This whole record is unbelievable.

  • i love the way this band makes me feel.. our true nature is spirit, not body

That we are eternal beings and that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. ''bill hicks''

  • @coreymichaeleatman here i am with the weather: %100 sunny

  • @coreymichaeleatman Not to mention they "PLAY FROM THEIR FUCKING HEARTS!"

  • @coreymichaeleatman bill hicks is a new age occult fuck, there is only one way to eternal life and that is through the Lord almighty

  • dont fall victim to wolves in sheeps clothing

  • @coreymichaeleatman You're supposed to put the quote inside the quotation marks, not the name of the person who said it

  • @coreymichaeleatman I feel the opposite. I feel like this band opens me to the reality of death, but also the beauty of it, as well as the majesty of life. When I listen to this band I stand in awe at the objective truth that I'm a part of, but is very difficult to understand. So I hear mystery.. the frontiers of truth and understanding.

  • @coreymichaeleatman Bill would've laughed, too.
