  • Of course the string is not supposed to hit your arm, lightly or other wise. That would skewer the shot.

Every archer who reads this statement will know you have never shot a bow.

Can't believe you would make such an asinine comment....DUH!

  • One prob is the bow is set on very low poundage as you can see the string moves slot more than a compound or any other bow on higher poundage.

  • This is what a well tuned bow shoots like!

  • shit this is cool!

  • Stiff plunger. She's using softer spine. Forgiving.

She just got married not too long ago.

  • look closer! you'll see that she is, and always does wear a bracer.

  • You arrow does not stay in contact with the rest the entire time. Your arrow flexes when loosed. Watch a slow-mo video.

  • I dont think anyone should criticize her technique she is the top female shooter in the world if anything its you guys that should be learning from this video

  • God, these bows rquire no skill lol

  • You clearly have no idea what you are talking about

  • Why???, yes i do not shoot the new bows made from carbon an what not however they do not require the same amount of skill as a traditional bow. Theres no need to get all raged up!

  • I'm not raging I'm just telling you that you shouldn't judge things you don't actually know about. And even then for others it might be different.

  • Cool

  • now i know why my arm was always hurted when shooting arrows.

  • ur supposed to wear a vambrace, or that strap u wear on ur bow arm to prevent ur armo from being sliced like cheese

  • not really

  • 1. It's called an arm guard.

    2. The strap you are referring to is called a bow sling.

    3. Arrows can't slice your arm "like cheese."

  • if u drop your shoulder u cant hit ur arm

  • You are holding your bow wrong, If you hold your bow correct the string won't touch your arm, as you can see on the video.

  • the string is uspposed to very lightly hit your forearm...you sir are the one who has no idea what the fuck hes talking about....why do you think there are little things called forearm guards

  • At no time is the string supposed to hit your arm as it interferes with the shot and indicates poor technique, however the arm guard or bracer is there to minimize injury and bruising when it does!.....

  • You see, roythearcher is right, that was what I was going to tell you if he hadn't already done so.

  • well you obviously have never shot a bow...i love it when ppl get on her and act like they are the authority on a subject when in actuality they are know it all morons that dont have a clue.

  • jesus christ she is as stiff as a statue when she shoots the arrow, only when it has left the rest does she move amazing!

  • that's because the arrow is so fast, you don't see any movement :P but he is very good indeed xD

  • that's cool

  • flexing is a natural part of arrow flight and makes no difference to its accuracy the more flex the higher the poundage the arrow can withstand

  • Wrong, the less flex the higher the poundage. When you look at an arrow spine chart, the arrows the bent or flexed the least are the arrows more suited for the higher poundage bows. If you shoot an arrow with not enough spine strength you could break something, either the arrow or bow which is very dangerous.

  • does the flexing put the arrow off course at all becouse i see people shooting wooden arrows from a longbow and there is virtualy no bending so does that make it more accurate??

  • Wooden arrows bend like that as well.

  • ooooh what if i had the wrong strenth wood would it break and i get stabbed or somthing broad head arrows are freaking sharp

  • any1 knows what kind of camera the footage is taken with? and what it costs?

  • I used a Fastec Imaging Troubleshooter HR. The camera runs between $15K to 20K US$. This was taken at 1000 frames per second at a resolution of 640X480.

  • 20,000 US!!!!!!!!! OMFG how can you afford that!! :P i'm 16 so 2000 dollars is like ooooooohhh im rich *giggles*

  • i think its amazing how much those arrows wabble in mid flight and they still remain accrate...

  • That is real archery, Recurve.

Notice theres 1 string and not 3.

Also this is a Olympic grade competition bow not a Little Brave youth bow set you pickup at W@#mart.

  • That is a recurve bow.

  • Blah, always compound bows. Whatever happened to real archery.

  • look again at the bow! that is a recurve! and there are ,of course, the longbow archers who would argue that their discipline is the only TRUE archery!!!

  • :P yes we longbowmen have that higher up complex we think ourselves as nobles *shoves nose in air* humph commoners :P

  • huh, that plunger doesn't even get pushed in...

  • That's the first thing I noticed as well.

  • Haha I was looking at it as well before I saw this comment! Holy stiff plunger!

  • Holy crap FANTASTIC VIDEO!!! Thanks for uploading.

  • wow, the arrow really flexes.
