  • I wish there was a live performance of this tune from 1977,BUT,this will have to do. One question: Why did they disappear in The 80's? That disturbs me.

  • Unmistakable voice.

  • Man this music is timeless. I am 32 and all I listen to is classic rock...or in reality real rock. I grew up in the grunge rock-alternative rock era of the 90's but in high school we would always jam to Foghat, Boston, Bad Company, ZZ Top, etc. Nothing better feeling than being 17, drinking a beer and jamming to tunes like this. God I hope stuff like this comes back around.

  • @i9boerne it never left you just have to look in the right places, check out "the answer" might be up your street.

  • Finally, an original band that rocks out their tune just as good - if not better - as the studio version. This fuckin' jams.

  • This was one of my first concerts back in the 70's. The line up was Rick Deringer, U.f.O and Foghat at the Aarogon (brawl Room) Ballroom. Later that year I saw The Jackson Five at Golf Mill Theater.

  • Gotta love the bald dude at 3:25... lol

  • Damn! This song fucking rocks

  • This is a great piece of musical history that has been preserved by video, as it'll never happen again. RIP, Rod & Dave, we'll getta party again someday -

  • The current version of Foghat did a great show last night at the Alameda

County Fair in Pleasanton,CA! (6/24/11).I was there.Craig MacGregor and

Roger Earl, the two remaining original members of Foghat, were there.Great

show! The two new guitarists (Charlie Hune, guitar and lead vocals),and

Brian Bassett, formerly of the American band Wild Cherry("Play That Funky

Music White Boy") were sensational! Brian is a slide player just like the late,

    great Rod Price.

  • I miss ol' Dave RIP....We had the pleasure of opeing up for this line up about a year or after this....Around 95-96 Great Guys,

  • Foghat rocks & so does Thin Lizzy!

  • I want you to clean up too

  • Can anyone remember any other rock and roll bands where twin or more lead guitars set aside their egos and played off of each other or together?...Judas Priest, Foghat, Skynyrd, Molly Hatchett.....C'mon...add some more....if you can....

  • @Kneph1 Heard of THIN LIZZY?

  • @Kneph1 ...Pat Travers...but Pat Thrall eventually left (Travers was a cocaine-fueled assh0le)

  • @pretorious700. No, you're wrong. This is the original band but your datas are way off. Lonesome Dave died in 2000 from cancer. Rod in 2005 from a heart attack. Get your facts straight or don't post.

  • `que buen grupo me recuerda una disco de los76 llamada shalakos que bueno

  • Best sounding LIVE band I ever heard! Saw them twice....Once in DETROIT at HARPO'S Theatre around 1984 and in Ontario California about 1990!

  • lets get it right..lonesome Dave peverrett rhymn guitar and lead vocal,Rod price lead/slide guitar, tony stevens bass guitar and roger earl on drums.BORN AND CREATED in south london and loved by north americans while brits never knew what the hell they missed.Great blues/boogie band.R.I.P DAVE AND ROD...GOD BLESS.

  • But I Thought That Dave Peverett Was The Guitarist!

  • GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great video- too bad the piss poor condenser mic couldn't handle the bass!

  • It makes me so sad ...... those guys are dead now :(

Where did the time go ?

  • @slippery396 Roger isn't dead. He still tours with/as Foghat. Lst I checked, they were fronted by Ted Nugent's old vocalist.

  • I saw these guys totally rock the house quite a few times when they played in Davenport. Iowa, years ago-especially the old RKO Orpheum theater. This vid brings back some good memories!

  • I miss Lonesome Dave too! But am grateful for Bryan's slide and Roger keeping the band alive! Charlie Huhn... Great singer!!!!

  • I saw them on Don Kirshners when I was a kid and they blew my mind!!! Great band, I miss Lonesome Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Price had an amazing voice. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Saw them three times in Sacramento. Roger Earl autographed his broken bass drum head for us. Early 70's. Saw the original band several times after that. They killed. The only group who were close to them was Ten Years After. Great rapport with the crowd. Raise your glass, drink to their memory. They don't make 'em like that any more. Music today just doesn't cut it.

  • OMG I have the album in my townhouse thanks for the post. Foghat Yes

  • I saw Montrose and Foghat back in the 70's. After the show both bands came back out for a combined jam session. Awesome.

  • RIP Rod Price and Dave Peverett. Greatest dual guitar players ever.

  • Que mal punteo que mete el tio al principio. ¬¬

  • Hey Watasha...you know who you are...i'm the treegirl

  • no, that is Lonesome Dave Perverett. He is gone now RIP

  • one of the best damn rock groups ever

  • Losing Lonesome Dave to cancer only 7 years after this video to cancer (I hate that disease) & Rod Price in 2005... Rock music truly lost 2 legends. I had the pleasure of seeing Foghat in concert in the late 70's and the power & drive of their music was an experience I'll never forget. We miss you guys but we know you are in rock & roll heaven...

  • Still splendid......................

  • frickin awesome, i had this on 8 track and later found the LP, what a great song.....wow......lots of memories....

  • we miss you madly Lonesome Dave...rest in peace

  • INFO ....... THIS TRACK is featured on an episode of UNHAPPILY EVER AFTER tv show in the 1990s ( EPISODE - ROCKSTAR ) .... i'm loading it on Youtube ( listen for this song in the background ) ....

  • R.I.P. Boyz....you are missed : (

  • is that Rod Price ?

  • Yep, Rod was in the band at this time--this was the reunion tour of Fog's original members--Lonesome Dave, Rod Price, Tony Stevens & Roger Earl.

  • I miss ya Dave, you were the best

  • Is this the original lineup? Man I loved this band back in the day

  • @pretorious700

Yes, the band's original lineup is featured in this video. This was made during their first tour after reforming in 1993. Tony Stevens was Fog's original bassist(and is in this video), but most fans remember Craig MacGregor on bass because he was in the band at the peak of Fog's success 1976-1980.

  • yeah, that's what the quitar is called-a gibson "bo-diddley" model

  • original Foghat was fuckin awesome!!!!!!

  • look at his face lol. Guitargasm?

  • @yeahcoolbeans..... Alvin Lee has the best guitargasms... ever....

  • is there not a single studio version .... wot the hell

  • thanks for the vid, truly difficult to get good material from 70s groups even if they still do play in some miserable corner. After the 70s everything became fashion and those so called musicians nowadays are empty muppets of marketing branches, fully backed on stage by high tech without any true message at all. Younger ppl shall know that all rnr and rock got to have a social meaning beside love and wanking some titts or bumps. stupid. BUT still there are good new bands nobody ever will see

  • Rest in peace Lonesome Dave, we will miss you brother

  • what kink of ax is the black square solid body?

  • Custom design, just like the guitar Bo Diddley always played.

  • sorry i ment to say foghat. forgive me i been drinkink

  • party on !!!

  • saw these guys at soldeirs field. "superbowl of rock" in chicago. ithink it was back in 77. opening band was 38 special, journey, ufo. foghat, lynard skynard. and ted nugent. i bet you people have never heard a 20 min ver of faghats "i just want" rock on foghat you were the best. god i miss the 70"s

  • @DABEARS1088 Cool I was at that concert too...water jugs flying everywhere !!!

  • @DABEARS1088 Faghats? Illiterate morons like you who can't even form a simple sentence should be banned from posting comments.

  • @7188181 GO BLOW A DOG YOU FAGGOT

  • OMG if he makes that face when he makes love then he probably hears no a lot. lol

  • Hey hes got a Bo Diddly style guitar.

  • You think Foghat rocks? Try Savoy Brown!

  • What an energizer!! But too sad someone screwed up the end!!

  • The end isn't "screwed up." The whole song runs close to 14 minutes, and YT only allows 10 mins of video. I cut it at a pause in the song about halfway through instead of letting it run to 10 and having it cut at an even more awkward point.

  • OK! Please, can you give us the rest of the song?

14 min of energy and joy ;)

  • The best opening act ever followed by J. Geils Band. Saw them both at least 10 times. They always rocked!!! Rod Price was way underrated!

  • fuck yeah!!!!!!

  • first heard this in 72....I loveh is voice more now than ever Damn this is a good frikkin song

  • killer song

  • These Guy's were and will always be the

Rock & Roll Outlaws. You Know I Was Stone Blue and Lonesome Dave & Rod helped me through. way back in 1983 I lost A friend to suicide. and I saw this

band and shook hands with Lonesome Dave and then I followed them to the next town . and those guys are the best people that ever lived "GOD BLESS EM".

  • which guy died (which one in the video)

  • Lonesome Dave Peverett(the singer) died from cancer in 2000. Rod Price(Guitarist) died from falling down a flight of stairs while having a heart attack in 2005.

  • yeah man THAT is what its all about.

saw the new foghat last night it was good i had a great time but it was NOT FOGHAT

    ya know what I mean?

  • Yeah, there's a lot of arguing about the "new" Foghat. There are so many bands still gigging with one or two original members--Foreigner, Molly Hatchet, Head East, Skynyrd, Uriah Heep, Foghat, etc. It's not the same as back in the day, but I do give them serious credit for keeping the music alive. Foghat's new lineup is a very good band indeed, but the same "feeling" isn't there now. However, they do know how to rock! Charlie Huhn is a good singer, one of the best!

  • Lonesome Dave Is The Man-R.I.P. !!!

  • just loved the intro

  • If there's a rock and roll heaven, then I know they have a hell of a band! Awesome, classic. Those lucky people in the audience!

  • man i had to add this to my playlist just for that kickass guitar solo :D

  • love you Dave. sadly missed by all.

  • lonesome dave and rod price rip :-(

  • i cry..dave e rod rocks heaven

  • Great video! A sad reminder of the two great talents we lost when Lonsome Dave and Rod left us. Thanks for posting it. Blooze!!

  • I did not know Rod passed away, When? How?

  • Rod Price died in March of 2005. He was at his home in New Hampshire and had a heart attack while climbing a flight of stairs. The heart attack didn't kill him, but when he lost control and fell down the stairs--that's what did it. He was 57.

  • R.I.P what a talent he was.

  • Lonesome Dave Rocks!!! R.I.P. Man!

  • I posted a cover of this song and it got deleted immediately because of copyrights shit.....

  • GREAT MAN THAT IS THE SHIT

  • fantastic , thank you so much for posting all the vegas clips

  • great classic

  • I was grooving until I saw the dancing bald guy ..ugh !
