@astroman2112 Yes! Ben Frost is VERY enjoyable ... darker, yes, but I don't mind that at all. Loscil's Plum is now on my to-listen-to list. Thanks for watching, James.
I'm a big fan of McC's virginias. Never had the #25, but from the ones I had (Blackwoods, #22, #24) #22 is the only I wouldn't buy again, just because it doesn't burn vey well, at least that tin didn't. American's really know how to make good va's...
@RequiemPipes Thanks, Gustavo! Yes, they do know how to deal with these leafs, that's for damn sure. I hope to get a tin of Blackwoods in the mail VERY soon. Can't wait to try it -- been wanting to ever since I saw your review.
I love McClelland VAs so I'm glad to hear a review from an non-USer about how you feel on this blend. I think this company is far underrated because of the way their matured VAs smell in the can (ketchup and what have you), but I really belive they are about as good as you can get in the US (better than even GLP /C&D/etc.
@dlutton1212 I'm VERY impressed so far, and I'm not at all done with McClelland weeds, that's for sure. As Gustavo also said in a comment here: Americans really know how to make good Virginias. I just wish they were available on this side of the pond.
I got to stop watching your tobacco reviews Arko. You have a way of describing tobacco that makes me want to defy the cold winter just for one puff... and I promised myself not to do that until I can see the grass again.
@harjoeric Well, thank you for watching, man. Yes, I made a couple that sort of have the same characteristics as this one. Not nearly as neat though, he he.
I just opened a tin of #25 this last week that was tinned in 2002. I don't think the extra age on this tobacco helped it any more than a two year aged tin of same. As good as this Mcclelland is, you must try their Blackwoods Flake or Dark Star. Dark Star is a pill to deal with. It is a rather hard, aged , thin cut flake that likes to crumble into pieces; yet worth the effort. Blackwoods is, in my opinion, is the benchmark to what aged virginia flakes are compared to; amazing.
@pipesmoker67 Hopefully the mail man will bring me some Blackwoods soon. The Dark Star, yes, I absolutely need to try that one too! It sounds really good.
Wow, that is some dark tobacco! I can imagine how great and smooth it tastes - would definately be my taste I guess. Smoking some Esoterica's Dunbar here. Had my problem with it in the beginning, but now it starts to sing.
Great review Arko, never tried this blend before, i think i'll have to now though, sounds amazing. I can't say i've tasted any Virginias aged older than 1 year or so must be heaven , i'm jealous man ;) Take care.
Dude my arm would have fallen off way before I finished a video this long! Good video too sir. Though I really wish you guys would stop making tobaccos I haven't tried sound so amazing. I hate you all.
Really always enjoy your vids Bud. I think I'm finally developing a taste for Virginias and VaPers. After starting with FVF and being thrown off by it, I found some Orlik Golden Sliced and Escudo.....wow. I LOVE them both!!
@Fenianboyo Thanks, mate! Yeah, FVF is probably a bit heavy to begin with -- I know it would have been on my first experiments with Virginias. Good that you're beginning to enjoy these leafs, they're are absolutely wonderful to smoke when you get to know them better.
Great review and an enjoyable video. Thanks.

Love that ambient music. I'm a big fan. Have you ever heard of Ben Frost? (A bit more darker), I also really really like Loscil's Plum album too.
Cheers,

Nice review! I really love this full flavored, rich and smooth aromatic from JustForHim - "Dark Star", not to be confused with McClelland Dark Star.
I keep going back to it over and over again. Another tobacco I really enjoy is Peter Stokkebye Proper English.
