I am sure it is a NO-GO in NYC....sad part is...that's where you NEED it the most...lol...JP
@Gunrunnersusa i was talking to a guy from Britain about guns and such and he said that even though they severely restricted gun ownership, the murder rate skyrocketed (he said it was edging close to south africa). he said it was over 1000 per 100000 as opposed to 456 per 100000 in America. seems like nobody understands that just banning something doesn't mean people won't get it, it just means GOOD people won't get it.
@Gunrunnersusa i would definitely carry if i could. it would be nice if people who carried weren't looked at like armed psychopaths, too. here in new york, if someone saw a gun on you (legal or not) they'd scream and you would be having an awkward conversation in the back of a squad car. especially here in ithaca...
@Gunrunnersusa i think if i could carry it would be some kind of 1911, probably with a 4in barrel. i like the grip angle and it's the perfect width for my hand. ever shoot one (stupid question, i know, lol)?
You would be much better off taking a standard double barrel and paying the 200.00 sbs tax, file a form 1 with ATF. These 5.00 AOW guns are super rare and super expensive. You can make your own if you live in a FREE state...JP
yes it is...and way before mad max try to find the movie Gator with Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed. I have wanted a shorty since I was a little kid after seeing it in Gator as well as Mad Max.
this guy knows how to hold and shoot correctly finnaly nice gun dont get caught though but still awesome i cant stress it enough lean forward and this guy did it right look at the other sawed off shottie shooters on youtube they dont know hot to stand
I've seen how the Serbu Super Shorty gets there by never offically being a shotgun and the having the foregrip added to further cement it's status as AOW, but how/why is the a AOW?
@akodo1 because an SBR is a short barreled rifle, but a shotgun isnt a rifle. meaning its an "any other weapon". alot cheaper too, only 5 bucks where as if it was a rifle it would be 200.
I meant to say 'why isn't it a SBS' which is an existing class. The only way I've seen to work a SBS in as a AOW is to put a vertical handgrip on the foreend...especially as this one started life as a shotgun
played cod mw2 maybe? because u ask such a dumb question? to answer it ill say: it depends the range, cause this is a shotgun, and the ,44 magnum is a projectile shooter! this weapon is almost 100 % to kill if you stand at a range of 5m. but on 30 m, i would have a hard time killing you( cause of the spread) the magnum could kill you both 5m and in 30m and 100m. but only one part of ur body will be hit, so it depends also where you get shot ;)
Norrell acutally made this one...when stevens went out he bought bare recievers from them and made a handfull of AOW's... I have two...they are rare and EXPENSIVE..
It would be a lot cheaper to make a sbs yourself and pay the 200 stamp.
NO IT"S NOT...Just regulated...you pay the tax, get it papered and it's yours for life LEGAL...just like machine guns, and silencers....but you have to have your NFA paperwork....come see me and I will explain the process...JP
sawed off shotguns are against federal law. unless you buy it from a register class III gun dealer and you pay the transfer tax of 200 USD pass criminal background check any long barreled weapon having its barrel shortened to less then 16 inches is an illegal weapon states can not regulate this its a federal law and applied equally to very state of the union.
that gun is clearly under 16 inches therefore illegal in the US.
not that i care about any of this of course, but you ARE misinformed
Guess what...I have been a Class 3 dealer for 24 years and I think I know what I am talking about brother.
18" on a shotgun, 16" on a rifle anything shorter than that and it becomes subject to NFA rules.
And AGAIN it is not illegal....just regulated. Some states prohibit sawed off shotguns per state law, which over rides NFA because the stamp will not be approved if it is not legal in your state.
Your misinformed and spreading the same old BS I have heard for years. JP
Theres an extended version of this video. after the shot you can hear 'Damn cletus you gone an missed that there possum again now we's all got to go hungry 2nite"
Rule is if it leaves the factory designed to be fired from the shoulder it can only be a sbs (200.00 tax). If it leaves the factory with no stock or pistol grip it can be a AOW.
When stevens went out John Norrell bought several bare receivers so it left the factory with no stock 5.00 tax gun... and they are super rare.
You can take a standard double, cut it down and pay the 200.00 tax cheaper than finding a norrell AOW.
No considering its an illegal length....Nothing can make that legal....so just hide it good if you want to make one. and don't let the cops see it. My suggestion, go get a cheap single shot shotgun from Wal-Mart, I think their cheapest is around $100 bucks, and hack away with a normal hack saw. I have one.
actually, the length is a pretty easy one to get around. buy any shotgun that comes stock with a pistol grip and you can legally hack off all you like. by law a shotgun must come stock with the ability to be shoulder-fired, so if you hack the end off one with a pistol grip, it's technically considered a shot-bearing pistol.
Because the bore is more than a half inch and smooth if you do so you are in violation of the national firearms act of 1934. Any smooth bore firearm other than a shotgun that has a barrel diameter of more than a half inch must be registered as a class 3 item. Doing so without registration first is a felony and punishable up to ten years in prison and a two hundred and fifty thousand dollar fine.
Personally, I think it's bullshit that you need to register these short-barreled weapons (or any gun) with the ATF or governemnt. Why the hell should I have to tell or ask the governemnt if I own a gun? Are they afraid of a law-abiding citizen with a gun? They should be... I'm not anti-governemnt or a radical, I'm just a law-abiding citizen who loves guns.
You are not alone my friend. I have had that shotgun laying on a table at gun shows and people walk right my my MP-5, Grease gun, MP-40 and pick up the double barrel. I guess it's just the cool factor of a mad max type of gun. JP in 10-E-C
Yeah, I thought a cut down was illegal. I know that if it is factory sawn off you can buy it, but doin it yourself is a felony. Wal-Mart actually sells a cut down "Home Invasion" model 12 gauge.
You can make a cut down version (short bbl shotgun or AOW) but you have to register it with the gov. before you make it. It required a $200 tax to make it or a $5 tax to have it transfered to you.
sbs vs aow. The rule is if it leaves the factory designed to be fire from the shoulder it is a sbs..200 tax. If it leaves the factory with a pistol grip or bare receiver it can be registered as an AOW.. 5.00 tax. JP in 10-E-C
That would be a "class 3" license. It's only granted on a "per weapon" basis too. Since he listed it as an AOW (Any Other Weapon) I'd be willing to bet that its legally owned. I love 'em. The mere sight of one is enough to thwart a carjacking, providing that the carjacker values keeping his organs inside of him.
sawed off shotguns are pretty illegal. you might could get away with it if you had a 1st class licence. because the spread is going to be so wide the only use you would get from it is killing a person. (self defense of course) ;)
Thanks for the upload.

5.00 tax. JP in 10-E-C

whats the point if u have such a short barrel??to kill 10 guys in 2meter distance??

That would be a "class 3" license. It's only granted on a "per weapon" basis too. Since he listed it as an AOW (Any Other Weapon) I'd be willing to bet that its legally owned. I love 'em. The mere sight of one is enough to thwart a carjacking, providing that the carjacker values keeping his organs inside of him.

sawed off shotguns are pretty illegal. you might could get away with it if you had a 1st class licence. because the spread is going to be so wide the only use you would get from it is killing a person. (self defense of course) ;)

Really nice lookin gun! Try pulling both triggers at the same time. And check the "Sawed-Off 16 gauge" video on my profile.
