Yes, but his speed will seem to be 255 (he almost always move before you do) and with lots more hp.

Well, if you don't like spoilers for this game, stop reading now. In Dragon Warrior 1, you hear about "Erdrick". Legendary hero stuff. Anyway, when you defeat the boss depicted in this video, the ending says you became known as the hero "Erdrick". Dragon Warrior 3 took place before Dragon Warrior 1 did.

It weakens his powers alot. It's almost impossible to kill him without using the sphere but people have done it before.

I just got done reading on a website hwere using the Sphere of Light takes off exactly 1/2 of Zoma's total HP. I always thought it just lowered his defense or magic, but I guess I was wrong. :)

Zoma has 1063 HP exactly, regardless if you use the Sphere of Light or not.

I tried to sell it on ebay, but it's against ebay's rules to sell anything altered or anything that could be a proto type. I think you need all the orbs in order to summon the bird that will take you to the castle.

Sphere of light is not a requirement.

At L99, Bikill -> Soldier; Bikill -> Hero works just as well for a 2 round kill ;-).

you know it is kinda sad. you play for hours and hours on end to get to the final boss, and it only takes you 3 minutes to completely obliterate him. ENIX could have provided more of a challenge

lol. well i was just juding this on AR's go against the boss. but i guess it depends. i never liked number 3 cause of the graphics. so i never beat it at all, but i beat the other ones

Well the real challenge comes from fighting the 3 bosses right before Zoma, and then fighting Zoma right after. If you want to do things the easy way, it's best to kill the bosses, exit & save, then go back and fight Zoma.

That doesn't work in this game, at least in the US version. Zoma walks right back up and gives that big speech again.

You might want to get a sage as well they help tons. I also say that you might want to use your wizzard/sage to attack.

i had a sage at one point. i multi-classed a few times at the temple.

Here is a hint for you. Have your pilgrim chant Healall on Zoma (after Sphere of light is used). It does about 160 damage.
