Ace Combat 6 is set in the same alternate world as most of the other Ace Combat titles. This title is in the not-too-distant future.

After "the Unsung war" the Razgriz squadron disappears. they were a weapon needed at the time but was used up at the end of the war.

Yes, the Razgriz squadron is from 5.

However, Cipher is from Zero.

if you look closely, you'll notice that the two black planes are not the same.

They both may have the Razgriz color, but the second black plane that apperead doesn't have the Razgriz symbol on its back wing.

It came from Estovakia.

Actually, the Aigaion is Belkan technology brought to Estovakia by former members of A World With No Boundries. They sold their technology to the military faction in the Estovakian civil war and it gave them the edge they needed to win. The enemy ace in the mission to bring down the Aigaion is a former Belkan ace, likely one of Grun Squadron, and helped design it.
