  • if you do the russian twists but move your legs in the oppostite direction you get a better burn i think.

  • If anyone likes black bean soup- make it, eat it for lunch everyday for a week and then have a healthy breakfast and dinner. It fills you up, it's loaded in protein and other nutritious benefits and it really makes looking good easy :)

  • @TheRoth28 Burn muscle? Anytime you use muscle, it's being built, so that it can handle the excercises that you're doing. If you're refering to the soreness you feel the next day, it's from the lactic acid being made from lactic fermentation.

  • @DW01 no such thing as spot "fat burning", if you want to lose fat get on treadmill as in do some cardio and start eating right as in less food and healthier stuff. working out increases the muscle size and strength, it doesn't remove the fat that much..look at powerlifters they lift heavy weights but do no cardio, result huge muscle but no real definition.

  • @dimonai01 Well what is the process whereby your metabolism uses fat stores as energy thus resulting in less fat? I would presume this would be fat burning.

  • @DW01 doesn't work like that. there is no such thing as a workout that will make you specifically burn fat. if you want to lose fat just change your diet it's that easy. no amount of workouts will be able to replace the effect of a good diet. by just replacing soft drinks with water one can lose up to 20 pound in less than a year by literally doing nothing. there are a lot of myth out there about fitness to get you to buy specific products so be careful

  • @dimonai01 if you really want to burn fat you ll have to do some high intensity workouts, your body wont start burning fat until it has exhausted all it's other main source of energy which for most of us comes from carbohydrates. so you can run your ass off to exhaustion , or you could switch to a low - carb diet to get your body to start using fat as it's main source of energy, but beware of the diet lol there is a catch in order to burn fat you ll have to eat a lot of fat..

  • @dimonai01 I hear what you are saying but to lose weight you need to do one main thing - use more calories than you take in! To aid you to do this you can eat a lower calorie/fat diet and supplement it with exercise. You can also encourage your metabolism to work overtime - ie green tea extract, etc...

  • @DW01 it doesn't work like that. on an average workout one will be burn about 300-500 calories and that's if the person is really trying, not just going through the motions. the only way you ll burn more than you take in is by starving yourself but then your weight will not be your only health problem. metabolism shit is all complete bullshit, health magazines will come up with a lot of bs to get you to buy their magazins and try their sponsors supplement. there are no shortcuts to losing weight

  • To see results: Do it every day if possible. Once should be enough to save you some of your energy for the rest of the day or before going to sleep ( a bit early before because you will be wide awake for a good 30 min). You should feel ( not see) the results pretty much the next day after you exercise ( if done properly).

    When i mean properly is: Take one exercise and do each side 15 times. Then rest a bit like 1min(endurance focus rest ; harder) or 1:30min to 2 min max (Normal rest) and do it again 2 more times. So basicly you are doing the exercise 3 times by 15 each side aka 3 reps 15. Super set is a combination of 2 exercise(or more but usually 2) without rest in between them only. Once you complete them both its called 1 rep. Rinse and repeat. In 2 weeks you should see results and 1 month waymore

    To help you even further in the love handle loss. You must perform a high intensity cardio. In other words: get your heart pumping this will help you "loosen the fat and clean it out" with the blood pumping faster. With the exercise and super set this will kill the love handles. So it will greatly reduce the wait time to see results. To get your cardio pumping here are some ideas: Jogging;Running;Swimming:Fast Cycling - Walking is NOT enough to get your heart rate up. Hope thishelps

    my question is show i swim before i do my weighting training or after my weight training? or it doesn't matter just as i do some swimming.. hehe

    I will tell you what my trainer told me once. Do your weights first then do your cardio last. Its 10x harder since you used much of your energy for your weights. If you do cardio first then weights you wont have enough energy to do your normal weight capacity.

    At that point you want to know what you are focusing for. Bigger muscle( strength training) or harder muscle (endurance training) or better cardio or faster swimming. Set your mind on a training you want to improve

  • For example: One day for swimming another for weights to focus more on your improvement. basicly its to save you energy for the whole day and use 110% of it at the focused point. But if you want just to globaly work out for fitness you continue the type of training your doing. one more thing, rest is part of training to if you are doing intense training.

  • does anyone know a replacement to a dumbell?

    i currently use a schoolbag shoved with loads of books. it weighs about 10 kilos

    but its a bit inconvenient because the bag rubs against my body all the time

    if anyone knows a smaller alternative that can be done in the house, please help

    You can always buy a 3 L or a gallon of water to replace your school bag but that wont be enough if you want more weight. Another idea that came to my mind is: You get a empty bottle of soft drink like 2 L pepsi or other type and you fill it up with sand or money like 0.01$. It gets pretty heavy and you can weight it on a scale to know what weight it currently as.

If you're only trying to lose weight/tone up because your boyfriend wants you to then you're doing it for the wrong reasons. You should want to do it to better yourself and to be healthy; not to impress some guy who chose to be in a relationship with you when you already had the handles to begin with but then decided they didn't like them!

  • i just need the motivation to keep a regimen of this exercise. im a typical guy, its really easy to work on the upper and lower body but i ignore my midsection. i have been told i have nice shoulders and muscular legs, but i am chubby around my belly. hopefully this winter i will actually trim down so i can take my shirt off at the beach next summer without being embarrassed about my waist. i know there is a sexy guy underneath this belly lol.

  • @maybohrlline my brother has that. i know sometimes he's fine and other times he hurts but i would ask someone of the medical point of view to help you. until then you shouldn't risk it.

  • It baffles me that people still think they have to go on a diet...You don't have to diet when working out.....You can eat anything you want,just in moderation and with that leave sugary foods like cake and stuff for the weekend.and watch your salt intake...that is all!!!

  • @wildflowers06 i used to do these in a class, and i started with 5lbs, my trainer always said if u feel ANY pain, do it without the weights and work your way up. Hope this has helped =)

  • 70% of losing love handles or just weight in general is diet..the 30% is working out. Just stay on 2000 calories everyday and eat healthy foods. And cardio..

  • i didn't really know how to work my love handles, but after doing this, sit ups, and leg lifts until my entire abdominal region was on fire, this turned out to be the ab workout of my life! i also use the ab straps on my "Perfect Pullup" haha...
