I really don't understand this musical form of graffiti. Why take the music created for Gettysburg and superimpose it as a new soundrack to this scene from a movie about World War II? What am I missing? I have seen and enjoyed both movies but one music was right for one and not for the other. I don't get all these "re-mixes" on You Tube. What is the point except to vandalize an original work of art?
FALSE. Typical AmeroNazi type attitude. Some of our biggest fools were/are military bureaucrats. If you think putting an uniform on makes one infallible; YOU are a fool, also.
these men and women all did thier part, military and civilian, let's not point fingers, who failed, who was greater cmdr., it's the ENLISTED MAN and Field Grade officers that win our freedom ! I wear the uniform too, for 28 yrs, Army Green, that's United States Army Green. these men may've been Allied or German, but they all had a job to do, so remember them, honor them, thank them and respect them
Monty was shit. He hated standing in the shadow of Patton and could never win a battle unless he had 3:1 odds in material. But he was the only Bloke that was aggressive in war which was uncommon for typical British.
You will find that a nation who at the time had the largest Empire the world had ever seen ( Britain) were quite capable of being "aggressive" and monty was so shiit infact that he managed to wipe the floor with Germanys best (Rommel) on more than one occasion. kicking him out of Africa and then humbling him again in Normandy. don't let Hollywood spin dictate your views on Monty, he punched well above his weight.
Direwolf3450 You know Jack shit about ww2 Market Garden and Monty had Ultra info that Churchill wanted acted upon, this Info was so sensitive even Patton was kept out of the loop, did Monty know that this task was doomed to fail, ? Yes but there was other factors, in this complex equation, was Monty Clever, Nope I did meet this old man in the 1960s he appeared more a gardener than a General,, How ever before blowing your mouth off, read more
my father came home on leave fro the RN and his old home guard sergant (a first world war vet)was in a terrible state he told him that his son had been killed at Arnhem the old man was never the same and died a year after the war ended.
Thanks for reminding us of the human cost of war and the price we pay for military incompetence--watch our videos on how Market-Garden should have been fought.
