Thank you for your presentation. Definetly my city is one of the best cities in Iran but this is not the only beautiful and historical city of our country. Please visit the Esfahan, Tabriz and Mashhad in your next trip. These cities are realy beautiful and have the friendly people. In fact all the Iranian (Persians, Turkish, Kurdish, Lors and ..) are realy friendly people. Long live iran and iranian.
iran is the friendliest nation in whole middle east, but after the islam regime things got fucked up, they cant even drink they're own Wine that they invented.
when islamic regime is gone in iran the pearl will shine
@anayebi1 My father is from Shiraz, and I was born in Athens! It's so good to hear someone else with a similar story! I have always dreamed of seeing Persepolis, but I'm hoping the current regime will go first.
Death to the terrorist, anti Iranian, murderer government of Iran. No dictator can last for too long. What goes up, will come down. Pirooz Baad Iran Va Irani.

The French can only establish their Syrah grape by DNA to as far back as only about 150 years! That is around the time when the French were too busy plundering the world and taking the best of the world including cuttings from the Shiraz grapes of Persia....
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
That's not sure...
Syrah aka. Shiraz: This ancient varietal is native to the northern Rhône, where it produces the very long-lived, tannic and spicy red wines of AOCs Côte Rôtie, Hermitage, and Cornas.
The Shiraz grape was once thought to have originated in Persia, but recent research indicates the grape is a native of the Rhone valley, in France.

We in Iran talk about politics together as the talked with you as a foreigner!!! Easily and freely!!! Iran is not the country that western media portrays!!!
I'm honored that you enjoyed my country so much thank you so much for making this video and enlightening everyone that Iran is a friendly and beautiful place
Persepolis, is not a widley talked about subject--you really have to dig and get the TRUE facts about it! Either that or travel to Iran yourself! I wish more people would discuss it--it's a really fascinating history...
I loooved that video! one of the best one's I've seen in a long time on yotube! I can't wait to show it to all my friends, there gonna love it as much as I did.
i would love to go to iran, i would love to see mainly the persian things, especially persopolis, but i have two questions:
1) did you find it hard (i'm kind of assuming you don't know persian, if you do, sorry) going around without knowing persian or whatever they speak there... and also
2) sorry, i'm kind of ignorant, you said about the baghdad invasion, did the US government let people just destroy the museums? sorry, i get distracted easily, awesome thing though, i love persian rugs, :D
Many iranians do speak english (as a second language). And if you do want to learn Farsi (persian) it wont be THAT hard to learn, since farsi is an indo-european language with many similar words to english.
@just0guessing 1)English is the second language in Iran, some people (Not many can speak it), but you can do what ever you want because people will help you as a tourist.
Please India President(muslim),Pakistan (Both members of SARC like NATO) give a nuke to Iran, and Iran should lunch to with their long range missile and then Israel may be stop killing innocent children, women and Open the border of Gaza for water, food supply. Muslim community should be united (1.2 billion) defend aggression of Israel + USA
Thanks for the advertisement for this beautiful City, Perspolis is still there, but the government would like to destroy it, because it is not coming from Islam.
As an avid armchair traveler, I found your vid fascinating. In America today we are all conditioned to believe that Iran is a backward state, loaded with fanatics. It wasn't all that long ago that we knew Iran as a richly cultured and well-educated society. It's important to get this sort of perspective.

WTF is he talking about shiraz wine?
shiraz only is the name of the grapes and has absolutely nothing to do with the city...
anyway, good video great city
farQuhar85 2 years ago
FYI, grape plants originated from Shiraz then planted in Australia and in other corners of the world.

Nat Geo had a good article about this stuff. Iran is really a great place and the people don't hate Americans at all. I'd love to go here.
