Again, great work Dom. Are those shoots for clients or for your own portfolio? If so, how do you go about getting models for the shoots? People you know or hired models?
A couple of good shots but surprised at how average a lot of them are and simply don't have a professional finish that I would have expected from a pro. It gives us all hope.
oooh someone sounds a bit bitter!!! love how you consider me as a pro. at no point do i mention that i am a pro, infact i have only had a camera for 2 and a half years. can you divulge what you think is "more professional finnish?" cos you lost me there.
TomHarper68.. I know many Professional Photographers and the quality of Dom's work equals or exceeds theirs. If pictures on youtube look great then they are good quality because you lose a lot of quality decompressing the files etc. so it can be posted on youtube. One of Dom's 8mb raw pic might be compressed to 800kb for these vids..Dom and many other people that deal with photography will tell you that in person the quality of these pics are a LOT better. which is hard to believe i know lol
Really cool video nice shots are you looking for someone to help you setup stuf a lug equipment around Im looking in working with photographers for experiance
Hey Dom, nice job as always. I like the shot at 2:34 a lot. I've been following you since you first started posting your photography stuff and it's really great to see you get all these photo shoots getting your work out there. Just a question I've been wondering, do you enjoy the kind of photography you've done here in this video or more of the nature and wildlife stuff like in you Scotland video?
i watched it several times because of this music(and some shots) but i did not watch ending. oh, dom, dont be so harsh, i like some of your videos and photos too, and your some of your advices helped me few times :) greetings from slovakia
Great photoshoot! really loved the outside wideangle pics! the depth in the picture you get there really gives the picture the little extra. read you used a fuji for this one, can u use nikons CLS with it? think i saw the sb 900 there so im just wondering. i really like the progression in your work. keep it up!
no dont have the time to work with a flash meter, the nikon cls system has a ttl ablity so it automatically changes the power of the flash but a lot of the time i use manual power and just change the aperture on the camera.
Hi Dom
How did you get the lighting effect on the girls face when she's standing on the bridge, 3.15mins into the stills video?
