ok this video is completely true, i agree and said all the same colors on the photo. At 1:38 i see nothing, Been taking color blindness tests and i keep ending up doing the red-green colorblindness. Reason is i am taking color theaory class and they said they got tests online i knew i was somewhat colorblind and glad i figure out the kinds and which i have. But now wish i wasnt taking this class
I made a short documentary that shows what the world looks like to a color blind person. You can see it by doing a youtube search for "no such thing as color"

Man, I don't know how you were able to explain it so well! I've been trying to explain it to people for 25+ years now and it never seems to go as planned. It's funny that the same thing seems to happen to us though. Almost always when I tell someone that I'm colorblind I first get the black and white question, immediately followed by them pointing at something and asking me to tell them what color it is. This was quite entertaining!
I'm a colorblind visual artist too! Color film photography and painting were difficult classes. I always had a difficult time mixing colors and adjusting color tints. Thank Adobe for the eyedropper tool!
My father is color blind. When I asked him how his perception differed from my own, he used a scene from the film The Abyss to illustrate his answer. The scene is toward the end of the film, when Virgil is attempting to disarm the bomb deep inside the undersea trench. His team is talking him through the disarmament procedure via radio. They tell him to "cut the blue wire." There are two wires and under the lighting conditions they both seem to be the same color and neither one is blue.
My mother teaches children with various visual disabilities, including total blindness, but she says to this day that she can't understand colour blindness. This video might clear things up for her.
@Dragonslayer10203040 If someone is kind enough to take time to write something nice I don't see why not to thank them. I appreciate all of these nice things.
Haha this is sweet. Thanks for the interesting and insightful explanation, I hope it doesn't ever get old having to deal with those questions over and over.
Thank you for remaining active, Jim. Every time you post a video, it's like a mini christmas, only without the religious overtones. I really enjoy them
