Being independent beats the hell out of being dependent. Funny how well the stock for oil and gas companies has done to bolster profits for the public sector unions.
Yep. tax those companies and the profits decrease that goes to the retirement funds. Great idea !
Wow, a page full of libs posting, sharing responsibility for the decline, rather destruction of what my family has sacrificed here since the early 1600s. BTW, the "racist" word is overused and no longer means anything. Do you even know the definition, or are you just following the sheep? You are sucking the hind teet of an anti-american, on a socialist rampage. It wont last long, then you can go back to being responsible for your own healthcare, get a job!
This video and commercial is a waste of taxpayer's money. Edited and butchered upon his real speech. Nice job, Breitbart racist NTU. Why don't you come clean about being Koch-whore sellouts.
After watching it, the clever ad infers to the listener that the new taxes would be levied on consumers..... the new taxes would be levied on the OIL COMPANIES! So, we're supposed to say no to more taxes on energy companies at a time when the oil companies are rolling in record profits and are already at the Federal trough with all sorts of tax subsidies, all at OUR expense! Unbelievable!
What's the deal with that guy with the old and exceedingly creepy voice doing the narrative? I've heard that voice before and it's like nails across a chalkboard! Is THAT what a Republican sounds like? God I hope not!!!! They need to retire that "voice"!!!
Nice edit, NTU, or should i say, Republican Nut-Gobblers. You tea-tards make me sick on your retardation and for you ass-kissing for the rich that contribute NADA. And are the ass-suckers of the oil companies and low-life billionaires.
At the same time, we’re expanding our clean energy partnership that’s vital to our long-term energy security. As a leader in renewable energy, such as biofuels, and as part of the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas that I proposed, Brazil is sharing its expertise around the region and around the world. And the new green economy dialogue that we’re creating today will deepen our cooperation even further, in green buildings and sustainable development.
You guys realize that if we were to only use our own oil, it would be totally depleted in about 8 years? Is that really the solution to this whole mess?
@trikkerman1 I actually gave you the wrong figure. An Environmental Science textbook I have by William P. Cunningham reports that 30.7 billion barrels are proven in place. At 2010 rates of consumption, 20 million bbl/day), that's enough for about 4.2 years. Opening up ANWR would only add about 4 to 10 months to that timeline.
