Someone shot the picture that touched my heart, let me realized our freedom is paid by others who sacrificed their life for us, let this song comfort those who lost their love one during the war, and pay my respect to those hero who died for the country.

This is seen in your visions and heard in Dans voice and felt in the depths of everyone who has ever felt a deep loss as much as they have felt the depth of love.

He was like a friend, talking through song of something I know I've been through & it is heartbreaking yet I survived when sometimes not thinking I would. I'm so glad Jean was in Dan's life for his last years here with us; so in love!.This is a Beautiful Sad Song~could not help but shed a few tears. Still, I love this song.....

Yes, his agony seemed to always bring the most dramatic and brilliant ballads with him singing his heart out. I think it helped him just as it helps us who hear it and heal with him in our darkest of hours.
I agree that he was THE most under rated musician of the entire century. He has gained notoriety in death but still not nearly as much as he deserves. You could feel his every emotion so strongly as he sang and played. He made magic and every time I saw him in concert I was enchanted.
I remember Dan saying something like: With this album I wrote the mother of all divorce albums! Yes, Dan was heartbroken from his recent divorce of his first wife! I think the critics were very unfair considering this album! There is great music with Dan's great lyrics, as always! But the nutty 80's catered to the 80's MTV BS! Dan was brilliant , but ignored, which is a crime! Just listen to the great guitar playing in this song and many songs on the album! They were and still are wrong! BK
