I don't think they take the sport more seriously, they are just promoted as athetes not eye candy. The female wrestlers are respected by not only the fans but the promotions.

I enjoyed working with Madusa, she was stiff but not nearly as stiff as Luna, lol. and yes, I am one of the frist people Nora worked with on the Indies, I contributed to her training as well as her appearing on WCW for the first time as Starla Saxton
