Hmm. I don't know whether there is a God or not, but I hold as fact that lighting your children on fire for being easily frightened (cowardice) telling a lie, or being skeptical (unbelief), is so wrong as to be evil, even if you are very powerful. I believe that torture is wrong and torturers are bad. So either Christianity has a very messed up view of this "God" they talk about, or God is cruel, a sadist, and evil. Either way, the only sane and ethical choice for me, is to reject Christianity.

Heaven wouldn't be heaven for me without Jesus. An old hymn says in the chorus:

THAT will be glory for me.
