  • alexander the great is a macedonian asshole

  • Well nearly a century after this battle, Indian armies began employing heavy armor after experience of the Greek armor. They began to use Shamshir and most army became professional. All this happened in the time of Republican Rome.

  • I still think Alexander was slaughtered and the greeks did not want to seem defeated so they made this magical story about this fairy tail crystal coffin that by the way has never been found.

Also the greeks said that Alexander wanted to fight but his armys backed off!! but then again that does not make sense because why would a army that would die for him just say okay i've had enough killing for today lets go home lol

cant be that great if he does what his armys tell him to do

  • @icandyWS I think they werent prepared for India diseases and etc. and India has a extremely rich history of warfare and warrior castes by the time his army got there they would have been riddled with disease and exhausted

  • alexander was a fucking looser in India.....He met his fate in India and his victory ended...

  • @aniluceonline what means a fucking looser when his empire was like the half of the konw world in his period ,ignorant, you are so little to speake about him,my respect to the greatest Greek Macedonian comander that the world ever seen Alessander the great!!!

  • @GreekMacedonian1

I am not ignorant , you are ignorant . Alexander was nothing , It was just Hype . Try to check history of Genghis Khan .West hypes Alexander ,East doesn't hype Genghis Khan , because he was ruthless .Genghis khan had won the same stretch of area and more ever he was fearsome . west has over hyped Alexander, that is the fact .

  • @GreekMacedonian1 That's just the thing though... Alexander had conquered half the world but when he reached the bank of the Indus River (Sindu River) he had trouble against a weak king like Puru (Porus), who in comparison to the Nandas of the East was weak. It showed that India was the supreme military power of Asia at that point (along with China).

  • yo yorgo alexsander was not a greek, get over that

  • nice joke.alaxander never won in india..rather alaxender got assk fucked by the tribal indians...the shiva worshippers got him HIGH with weed, and poisoned him with SNAKE VENOM...he got so intoxicated that he started worshipping lord shiva and lord krishna...lol..now a days since democracy lives, every jackass moron writers a book and makes a movie and makes his own story...i hope you like mine too...fuck alaxander..he was a homo...

  • @achuforyou

    No, Alexander conquered India.

In fact, he captured King Porus. Alexander was never defeated, but he died and his Sons ruined his empire.

    Alexander was not a homosexual.

You been listening to some Persian propaganda?

Aww, you feel sympathy for Iran? (Iran = Persia.)

  • @RyanBrooksby ...i respect alexander but he never had any chance against the indians.....watch the movie made by hollywood or you can just type in alexander the movie last scene on youtube..read books or history....then u know who kicked whose ass in the end....i am sorry to say, but in India alexander was like an ant under an elephant feet...alexander sucked our dick in the end to be louder...

  • @MrDonewithme1

Dude, HOLLYWOOD. As in, NOT REAL FACTS.

In reality, Alexander conquered India and captured King Porus.

He never lost to India. He lost several thousand men in that god-forsaken Afghanistan (Part of India at the time) but he never truly lost any battle against India.

I'm sorry, but what you're saying is bullshit.

    Link me to some sources.

  • @RyanBrooksby Try and read history. At that time, there was no INDIA. They were all city states just like modern day Europe. Alexander defeated Porus, who was a small king in the northern India. Alexander never fought any of the other Indian kingdoms because his soldiers were demoralized and did not want to fight the Magadha and Nanda Empires. They were demoralized because if Porus, who was a small king could put up such a fight, fights with the other Indian States would surely result in loss.

  • @adijo123

Yeah, his crybaby soldiers didn't want to fight a bunch of barbarians.

Well, looks like Rome is the only worthy Empire here.

  • @RyanBrooksby Ha if in terms of "Barbarian" you mean foreigner then you are right... If by Barbarian you mean "uncivilized" you are completely wrong since Classical Indian Culture was top notch in the Ancient World. Only the Greeks and Chinese could compare to Classical India but none could surpass it.

  • @VShelat93

    I think you overestimate India.

The only thing Alexander had trouble with, is the death of all nations. (Afghanistan) because their people are barbaric, backwashed fools who still think they're the Envy of the world.

    Which they're not.

  • @RyanBrooksby You need to recheck your History... Alexander easily took over Afghanistan at that point. But Afghanistan only became the scourge of the world when they became Muslim. Back then they were of Hindu Majority with a Jain minority and so they were far more civilized than the backwater Afghanistan you see today. India was the only point where Alexander had trouble. Although he won against Porus (a weak king) his troops were too demoralized to progress.

  • @RyanBrooksby No Alexander fought one King In India and he barely won against him. King Puru's troops demoralized Alexander to the point where he had no further way to progress. The Stories of Kings beyond Punjab, like the Nandas (who outclassed Puru immeasurably) forced Alexander and his troops to end his conquest in India. There was no way the Greeks could forge into India. Even Seleucus had to undergo a treaty with Chandra Gupta to avoid annihilation.

  • @VShelat93 at the time of when the greeks came to india, india spread as far as afgan and nepal!!

he would of had no chance against india!

whats strange though is that the greek say that Alexander and porus sent each other notes!

strange thing is that Alexander did not speak a word of indian nore did his army and porus did not speak greek lol so how they spoke to each other is just strange.

alexander was the first greek into india and the greeks had only met indians via alexander lol

  • Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !!Alexander of Macedonia !! PROUD MACEDONIAN PROUD MACEDONIAN !!!

  • @MKDBukefal be proud but also know that u will always be beaten by india in the end...

  • ridee MACEDONIANSS!!!!! RIIDEE!!!!! MACEDONIA!!!! FUCK GREECE

  • fools always boast of past..

  • @udennyn

Smart always take inspiration from past and fool have no idea of history and they don't learn from it as they don't know history repeats itself.

  • @MrNavi88 yeah, wise learn from past and fools boast of past.

  • yeah alexander was fucked by indian army.....

  • All of you fighting here,Alexander was a great conquerer and India at that time was not at it best but still good enuff to maybe deter alexander conquest, but both civilization were strong and no one should undermine any other, beside nations fall and rise all the time

  • @snedden27 each other*

  • whats the title of the song startin' at 6:20?

  • Macedonians were not surrounded at any point in the battle, Cleitus had been killed by alexander in samarkand after a drunken arguement.

Also to the author of this vid, shit quality for a start and macedonians did not 'pussy out', they hadnt seen home in years and had been at war for all of these years. Look at point below too

  • @mattg109 : actually, Porus was very minor king at the edge of India. He is only known in India because of his "battle" with Alexander. He was a king of no consequences to India of that time. Had Alexander somehow managed to cross the Land of Five Rivers (Punjab), what awaited him next were armies of unimaginable size compared to the King Porus' minor army.

Alexander never entered India and after recognizing that mighty armies lay in India, he simply sailed down the Indus and went away.

  • The Ancient Greeks did conquer India but only the north western part which is now Punjab and Pakistan.

  • @G716M I doubt they held eastern Punjab which is in Republic of India, western Punjab is in Pakistan They left India soon after hearing north Indian kings marching with 200k men, 16k cavalry and 6k war elephants.

  • @aniluceonline true brother...RAJPUTS, GONDS, VERMAN, KAKATIYA empire...further Kamrupa.. Brahma desh, Khmer, champa malay... Shrivijaya..it was impossible to conquer even for entire west united under alexander...

  • @flight23magic32 we've plenty of kings some are Raja Vikramaditya , Chandragupt, samudragupt, harshvardhan etc...our history is full of brave..men :).remember we were never defeated by foreign forces alone...

  • Little do people realize that this King Porus that Alexander fought was just a Petty Vassal King under an even Greater Emperor of India who had armies 20 times the size of the ones Alexander fought. People see this clip and assume this is the whole army of Ancient India Lol

The Real Indian Empire of Nandas was estimated by Greek Diplomats themselves to be Vastly superior to the army of Paurava (Porus). This may have been the reason Alexander's army chickened out and refused to march ahead.

  • @forgottenmemories63 That is very very true. People walk around saying they defeated the Indians. Frankly its embarrasing for Alexander an emporer to be knocked of his horse and his army crushed by a small king of a small kingdom. What would have happened if he fought the nandas

  • @K14841 I doubt Alexander was embarrassed. But he did defeat the army and that is a fact. I don't speculate what would have happened if he would have fought the nandas. Perhaps it would also be speculation to think what would have happened if the nandas had been fighting for several years and were thousands of miles from home attacking macedonia with Alexander defending.

  • @Proverbs1533 Yes you are right but you forget that at this point Alexander had deafeated all of Persia and was an emporer, his aim was to conquer India. Porus was a small time king that chose to fight against a big emporer and frankly what should have been a walk over for Alexander was humiliating for him. We cant speculate about India being away from home because they didnt feel the need to conquer outside of India.

  • @Proverbs1533 This film is stupid because Alexanders wife says " oh don't go to India they don't bow before you like Persia". Why should India bow before anyone. Infact if someone comes to your land no matter how powerful you should defend what is right. India has never been the bully pushing small people around. But one thing is for sure it ended his India campaign there and then.

  • @Proverbs1533 When you watch films like 300 they always make it out like the Greeks fought bravely against the Persians when they were outnumbered. So Porus fighting an emporer of all of persia and almost defeating him shows that if a small time king can do that what would the Nandas have done.

  • @K14841 I have respect for those Indian warriors but it almost seems like you have it out against Alexander. The man was a military genius. His tactics have been studied alongside men like Hannibal Barca for the last 2000 years. Alexander was one man and his army was tired on the brink of rebellion by the time they reached India. Don't be too hard on him.

  • @K14841 Well it wasn't only the 300! There were 7.000 thousands soldiers at first but then when Leonidas found out that they had been betrayed he sent most of them away and he stayed there with his 300 Spartans and 700 Thespians. Still they were like 7.000 against God knows how many Persians! Different sources mention different numbers but one thing's for sure! We Greeks were HEAVILY outnumbered and still more than held our own in Thermopylae! If it hadn't been for Ephialtes! But we still won!

  • @flight23magic32 Yes I have always said Greeks were historically brave warriors. However Hollywood has never shown Indians in a good light. They never gave us any credit even though we have had numerous brave warriors and forces.

  • @K14841 You're right about that...I think the only exception is Dances with Wolves...unless u r a Pawnee...

  • 3:57 is awe inspiring

  • alexandar was macedonian , not greek!!! KINGDOM WAS MACEDONIA NOT GREEK

    !!!!! LONG LIVE MACEDONIA!!

  • @TomiBT87 MAN GET OUT HERE! READ DANIEL'S BOOK IN THE OLD TESTAMENT WHERE IT SAYS CLEARLY THAT ALEXANDER WAS GREEK! GET OUTTA HERE MACEDONIAN WANNABE! YOU ARE NO MACEDONIAN! YOU ARE SKOPJAN!

  • @TomiBT87 YOU'RE SHIT HOLE OF A COUNTRY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HISTORICAL GREEK MACEDONIA , GO AND TEACH YOUR STUPID PROPAGANDA TO YOUR SCHOOLS ,,,,, NOT HERE !!!!

  • Mr.Alexander , World might call you "the great" , but we Indians call you "the failure" . Alexander couldn't stand against Indian soldier who were comparably weeker . If they had faced Rajputs , then ......

  • @aniluceonline Only after defeating most of the known world before he got there to win a great victory and then having to secure his border because his men wanted to go home.

    Indians are delusional.

  • @aniluceonline HOW COME YOU GUYS SAY THAT? HE DID BEAT PORUS DIDN'T HE? AND NAME ME ANOTHER EMPEROR, KING, GENERAL, LEADER OR WHATEVER WHO NEVER LOST A SINGLE BATTLE!

  • @flight23magic32 alexander was beaten easily....lol...

  • @MrDonewithme1 What are you talking about man? Alexander NEVER lost a single battle!

  • @flight23magic32 because he run away from battle he knew he can't win

  • @MrRajan11222533 Who ran away from who?

  • if it was in panjab you will amazing skills on spikes sword and horse etc. ( please see indian sword fight and kalaripayatu for example. the movie maker had no idea what real india was about. alexandar will pee in his pants if he enter panjab

  • @jaycdp no he never peed his pants, alexander defeated them, its a movie maybe not everything is correct but history doesnt lie and Alexander had balls you really think he would of peed his pants you better go read some more history books. Greeks arent known for that sort of thing.

  • @DeapSilentComplete Ohkk if Alexander was sooo successful in defeating them, then why didnt he march ahead deep into India to face the Powerful Nanda Dynasty. Ofcourse a Great King like Alexander pre-occupied with a mind & determination to conquer the Whole world should never turn back. Right? He should hve proceeded futher into India to conquer the whole Sub-continent, and then China,Korea,Japan etc. But why he retreated after this very first War with Indians? Obviously bcoz he jz escaped Death

  • @Tobveryhonest Man this is fiction... not very historically accurate. No point debating this movie if its about strictly historical matters.

  • @Pedrosdanckwardt So what u mean, Alexander's invasion of India as a mere fiction or this War? Or u wanna make it that Alexander had a cakewalk in India?

  • alexander campaign to india was a successful one(as all of that he had) he defeated the indians (siege of aornos - battle of the hydaspes) but alexander respected the king porus for his resistance and he returned his kingdom to him but greece(macedonia conquers the north-western region of India now Pakistan he wanted to go further and he was preparing but the soldiers wanted to go home to see thier families or simply their were tired of battles the reason hedidnt conquer allIndia

  • @Tobveryhonest the reason he turned his campaign around was because none of his soldiers wanted to keep fighting they wanted to go home, as any would after campaigning for like what 15 years, and the only reason he didnt come back after going home for a while is because he died. If his soldiers had the will you bet your ass he would have kept going, it was his dream.

  • @ javed2783

Hey gay fucker.First, clean your filthy holes.

Porus taught a lesson to Alexander who was small king in Great Magada Empire of India

  • WHO THE FUCK INVITED PAKISTANI'S ON THIS VIDEO???????

  • RIDEEEEE MACEDONIAAAANS RIDEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!

  • GREEKS? OH MY GOD !! THEY ARE MACEDONIANS NOT GREEKS !! LEARN HISTORY MATES !!!

  • oh the scene where the elephant and horse are standing on two looks is fuckin epic! How the hell did they capture it

  • indians fight like heroes...!! i am greek but i know that every nation has its will power...!!!!!! pride to the nations dont let them make as forget our stroy our languge our pride...!!!

  • Hear No Muslim Fuckers Join This War ONLY..........HINDU

  • Re-upload in better quality please!

  • LMAO PORUS THE GREAT?!???!! BUT STILL HE FALLS LIKE THE REST

  • Wow so this is what a battle may have looked like back than. Would be hard to think of losing friends and loved ones in a battle like this.

  • @fanofactionflicks It's crazy huh

but you know what, in the movie they made the scene be in a jungle-forest thing but this battle was fought at the HYDASPES RIVER but Oliver Stone said it was too complicated to put in the film

look up on google: HYDASPES BATTLE and read how it was..worse than the scene lol but it's crazy times. i love it.

  • @fanofactionflicks Also notices how he SHAMES HIS MEN in the battle that they follow him when they wanted to retreat lol this man is a beeeeeeeeeast

  • Greetings to glorious India from Alexander's homeland in Greece.

  • I think this scene & probably the movie (I haven't seen it) shows a perfect demostration at just how brave the war horse and even the other animals like elephants were. Wars were not just fought by man, but by their hooved companions as well. Horses are soldiers too, most deffiantly.

  • i love how they got the horse and elephant to both stand up on their legs at the same time, coupled with the wide angle lens making it one of cinema's most breathtaking shots, imo

  • in this movie i really want to cry for alexandra.

  • is this prove that india is stronger.

  • @geoting1 no alexander won the battle and he wanted to go further to india but the soldiers wanted to go home

  • I cant describe my feelings when i watch this movie

Just wanna say that I am Proud to be Macedonian !!

  • @xXxWolverinexXx666 Sorry but Macedonians of today are not Macedonians of Alexanders time. Greeks, Macedonians of today are more Moor and Turkish than Macedonian after centuries of Turk rule. Genetically you would be closer to Arab/Turk. Macedonia should change its name to Albania...

  • @javed2738: Why do you equate your knowledge-level with that of the whole world? The whole world knows about these places..It's only ignorant guys like you who dont. Dont be under the impression that just because Taj Mahal is talked about in Pakistan, it's the only great monument in India.

As for size, the temple of Madurai alone can accomodate a dozen Taj Mahals within it's perimeter. Dont come back with your absurd comments and shame yourself in the process!

  • @javed2783: Have you heard of Mahabalipuram, Pattadakal, Hampi, Ajanta, Ellora, Khajuraho, Konark, Tanjore, Madurai etc?? All these are UNESCO World Heritage sites that have no influence of Arab/Islamic or European architecture. Watch them before making such ridiculous assessments. Mughal architecture itself had many inputs from Indian architecture and Indian craftsmen. Ever heard of Indo-saracenic architecture? Most of Pakistan's monuments employ this architectural style!

  • @MrIndischer mmm..no even knows this architecture exists or cares whether it exists or not....Because the monuments u have mentioned are tiny in front of mughal architecture, and so tiny and uninspiring that they are still highly ignored. No monuments in India have such high degree of rich & glorious royalty like mughals & thats the reason this monuments come no where near to Great Mughal Architecture. The whole world knows which monuments India is known & thats obvious.

  • @IndiaforHindus Yeah Taj mahal is an Indian property but its architecture and Design belongs to Arab Culture. Almost All the greatest architecture in India is attributed to Islam. India doesnot have any Great architecture of itself constructed by Hindus. Hindus were Hut, slum village dwelling ppl lacked education, lived in superstition, worshipped tree Gods, who wer civilised only after Arab and British Entered India. They were typical villagers just like today 60% of Indians live in Rural Areas

  • @javed2783 you are an idiot!

  • The only thing that I understood from this movie is that from where Aryan race entered India? Through occupying territories, mixing of races?

  • @IndiaforHindus Also, i thought music was haram in islam, and yet these muslims prode themselves on muslim musical artists, India has created the sangeet which they prode themselvs on.

  • Comment removed

  • Islam is destroying the world. Thumbs up if you hate islam

  • also the tribe which king porus was from is still alive today in Pakistan, i forget the exact name, but you can look them up!!!

  • @slimshadythe2nd Why dont you ask me what clan Maharaj Puru was from, i know because he was from my clan and he is one of my ancestors. Maharaj Puru was a Kurkhrain Khatri (Kshatriyas) of the clan SABHARWAL - this too is my clan name. Also most Khatris (Kshatriyas) are iether Hindu or Sikh and live in India.

  • porus was never defeated by alexander ....it was all made up...........can't belive me...........u people will know in future

  • indian nationalist-revisionist groups, claim that the King porus was never defeated by Alexander, this is a fallacy,at the Battle of the Hydaspes, porus suffer over 20,000 casualties,30 elephants,1 brother & 2 of his sons died in battle, Greek sources mention that the Macedonian left flank flanked throug fording the river and surrounded the remains of Porus army,Indo-centrist chronicles of Chandragupta Maurya distort the facts of the battle, Alexander was the winner of the battle of the Hydaspes.

  • @gueropalma1990 lol well it happened so long ago its hard to tell what happened the fact that alexander's army had a mutiny and left india could mean they couldve lost the battle or just barely won.

  • King Porus was from present day Pakistan, so he is Pakistani, not indian!!!!

  • This is the cut version, view Alexander Revisited Final Cut to see the uncut battle

  • elephants!

  • @4MyPakistan This is not the battle with Porus. There was never such a battle as shown in the movie. The actual battle in which Alexander was shot with an arrow took place in a Castle.

And Porus was badly defeated by Alexander. Get your facts right.

  • @mezzinshwet Everything Your're white masters tell you, you believe, Porus Kicked Alexander's ass inside out, It is one of the greatest vitories of Pakistan.

  • @akingkhan99 pakistan was not even borned u dumbass.....

idiots... always create false propaganda n cheap things.....

shut up n just watch ur ancestors to win........

  • @akingkhan99 That battle has nothing to do with Pakistan and i tell you that as proud Pakistani and student of History. This battle took place along the Jhelum river as we call it today and was total defeat for King Porus and the indigenous forces, Alexander or Iskander as he is respectively referred to throughout Asia (including Pakistan) showed mercy because he greatly respected the bravery with which Porus and his army had fought with even when the battle was lost.

  • Respond to this video... By the way the campaign in India did eventually lead to his death. We know he suffered a fatal wound whilst laying siege to a fortress town which he survived thanks to his brilliant surgeon but he did develop a fever that killed him on his way back to Babylon. We believe through sources at the time and archaeological evidence that the fortress was what is now modern day Multan. Just thought you would like to know that brother :)

  • Comment removed

  • @akingkhan99 historical accounts contradict your delusional beliefs.....never mind we can always dream. Yes we can always make up shit lol pathetic

  • @TheLusseyran Fact is this is Pakistan now, the people of present day Pakistan.

  • if there is any truth to the 6:26 scene...man i know its crazy but i cant help but admire that kind of courage/insanity.

  • I started laughing when I saw the elephants

  • Battle of Hysdypas worse than Gaugemela.

  • In a letter to his mother, Alexander described his encounters with these trans-Indus tribes of Punjab: "I am involved in the land of a leonine and brave people, where every foot of the ground is like a well of steel, confronting my soldier. You have brought only one son into the world, but everyone in this land can be called an Alexander"

  • @Aadhish1000 He wrote that about Afghanis!

  • @mezzinshwet He wrote that about Indians.Although victorious, it was also the most costly battle fought by the Macedonians. The resistance put up by King Porus and his men won the respect of Alexander who returned Porus his kingdom. The Macedonian army refused to continue its march after an escape to victory from a small Punjabi kingdom and getting the news of inner Indian kingdoms of Gujarat and Harayana preparing for war.

  • @Aadhish1000 That can only sound like Alexander..i just wish some day they can make a better movie of him i just dont see him as a gay guy i see him as the greatest ever, napoleon and hitler were kids compare to him and alexander was simply great..for ever undefeated...

  • @thealkimista2012 Most of the Ancient Greek leaders were Gay since sleeping with a male lover was considered normal at that time, I don't know why you have a problem with it as long as you appreciate the Military Genius and Lion-Hearted Courage of Great Leaders like Alexander the Great.

Alexander was a Great Military Tactician but face it, His campaign suffered enormous setbacks in India due to the Fear of entering Uncharted territory and Indian Fighting Tactics being Superior to the Greeks.

  • @forgottenmemories63

I just dont see a gay guy doing what alexander did,gay men are just too soft and there is not prove of Alexander gayness,or just because now days gay ppl get married the people in 20 more centuries would think that everybody was gay in the 21st century?

the problem in india wasnt alexander tactics even the greatest army got tired and lack of motivation, they wanted to go home, and although india was tough Alexander was never defeated..

  • @Aadhish1000 Yeah ur rite now that indus tribes of punjab comes under pakistan...so pakistanis are now all called as alexander..haha wat a stupid comment.

  • @javed2783 Pakistan Only Porni Stan, Mather Fucker Muzziiiiiiiii

  • @NaPakAsstani Yeah and India- the land of kamasutra, sex godesses, nude godesses? shut up Indian villager and stop brushing abt other countries..look into your own country and see how much filth it produces..HINDU KAMASUTRA, Shameless Hindu literatures.

  • @IndiaforHindus and you are responding like an orc my friend. sorry, can't explain it any better

  • @rocoreb OK mate. whatever. you win

  • @IndiaforHindus If you consider words like strategy, tactics and diplomacy when it comes to warfare, 'scholarly' fancy concepts, mate you gotta brush up your language skills a bit! last attempt: applying particular, now pay attention here, the operative word being PARTICULAR, post war politics, divisions etc in ONE historical era to explain something in ANOTHER historical era is wrong! 2.Now trying to create alliances with those you conquer is war 101 since the start of time!!get over it already

  • There's an easy way to stop these men & their battles. Just get a bunch of girls & walk to the battlefield naked. The men will stop in their tracks. Give them each a shot of tranquilizer & run away with the horses, elephants & weapons. Then send them pot, beer & a couple of porn magazines by DHL the next day. Everyone will be happy.

  • @IndiaforHindus i was referring to general strategical and tactical war diplomacy concepts, not to particulars. applying an analysis of politics based on the lines of national and religious feuds among factions within Iraq in 2000 to a battle that took place 2000+ years ago, with the intent of making a comparison is quite unscientific in the examination of history. Is it plausible Alex could have handed over Porus's kingdom to his internal political rivals of those days?

  • damn...see this is what happens when pot and beer are not there...men start killing each other.

  • @RpgMakerVXTutor I believe the Greek historians versus any other source . A Greek historians duty was first and for most the truth ! Don't forget that Kalisthenis ( Alexanders personal historian ) was pout to death by Alexander ,refusing to praise Alexanders mistakes !

It was Ptolemy, one of Alexanders generals, that wrote in detail this Battle, many years after the death of Alexander while he had aged and a King of Egypt , i see no reason why he had to lie

The Battle was a Greek victory

  • @RpgMakerVXTutor No ,, in fact he had Les than 35.000 in this Battle . He had to live a substantial part of his army as Garrison in whats today Afghanistan and Uzbekistan . As for the 20.000 Indian allies ,, they took no part in this Battle , and as a mater of fact he had a part of his army over, looking his allies in case they betray him .

  • @IndiaforHindus you are confusing comparisons here. i am comparing strategic and tactical decisions in war campaigns, which never change throughout history
