  • Puerto Ricans got a little fight in them too!!! Thank for you service!!

  • great

  • Any videos of the other end of one of these weapons?

  • nice stack of ammo those guys got

  • This is why I was a tanker..lol.

  • 119a2 :D our section keeps up about 10 rounds/ min hooah!

  • cant wait to do this

  • Chuck, where are you here? :(

  • the gun crew isn't slow....they are instructed what intervals to fire at

  • Great audio! Thanks!

  • THIS WAS ON A 72 HOUR MISSION. OEF COMBAT VET 07-08

  • when it fired i am totally shocked like i am gonna piss my self cause i didnt expect it

  • they probably went deaf after...

  • Holy Crap. Super slow. And to whoever wrote that Marines only get two rounds out a minute you better check yourself. My personal best as a chief was 6 in a minute.

  • This kind of shelling is good for moral. But hardly effective against an enemy who is highly mobile and not offering big cluster targets. If they hit more than 1 or 2 Taliban with the big dump in the front it would be a real surprise. Between two rounds a Taliban might run a long distance. In the moments between observers fire control and impact..... No Laser guiding! As someone pointed out, good against villages. But against Taliban in the open? Good show, little effect.

  • I don't want to insult the "wonderfull" US Army, but artillery is just good to destroy villages and killing innocent civilans... The Talibans are in caves, so if you want Bin Ladin, move your fat ass and show us that you have balls! Go go go!

  • ammunation is not the problem.. look in the video, but 2 min loading..

  • See against a modern army, this shit wouldn't work. The russian would just blow up the whole arty site with some bombs from a mig or a cruise missle.

  • @Paulwander these days they got mobile arty and in order for the mig or cruise missile to do that they needa designate it with a device arty is just give em cords and rip away and multiple arty pieces well theres a technnique forgot how its called whee one gun fires shells in difrent angles so they mand at the same time so yeah arty could cover a wider area

  • Army National Guard > Active Marines lol

  • good movie........hahaha

  • one round per min? thats slow if you ask me

  • its the actions after the shot and before the next shot that are slowing this crew down. watch some of the other videos online and see their crew drill

  • fast and accurate or slow and accurate.. either way you should be hitting your targets correctly no excuse...

  • Airbourne 320th Field Artillery, the only time we fire really fast is when "danger close " is called in.

  • Even thou Puerto Ricans are the best soldiers in the world I'm not sure whose kicking whose ass...

  • @RAMPG wait wait woah hold on, puerto ricans are not the best soldiers in the world.

  • that first shot made me shit my pants

  • but i gotta admit ... nice bang ;-)

  • damn this artillery system is so 1940's

like 10 people for 1 gun n at least 100 shells totally unprotected... fight an enemy a little better equipped than with Ak47s and RPGs n your whole camp will be fucked up in seconds... US Forces should update their Artilley Systems

  • @gnorts88

    They should get some Archer-systems.

  • @gnorts88 That gun is SOOOO last week, like, totally.

  • I am doing artillery. I go to boot camp in 2 months. Then I go to my artillery school in Oklahoma.

  • fuck the talibans, i hope one of those motherfuckers took a direct impact shell to the balls

  • Actually, for a large caliber, That is a pretty fast crew, assuming their shots are >150 yards of target.

  • Those guys are quite slow on the reloads. Is that hissing sound the rounds going away from the gun?

  • future weapons.....artillery gun on a barrett :D

  • USA first amrs and appoint Taliban, Saddam Husein wasting billions of taxpayers dollars, so that they could send their own children and 100's of billions of dollars to fight them, and lose!

  • a round hits one of those shells.....ur dead...

  • After seeing this video I am wondering why Puerto Rico is no the 51st State.

  • i hope every round ended up giving an insurgent a ballistic nut-tap

  • HEAVY ON THE HIP MOTHERFUCKERS COME GET SOME!

  • @DfektRiskProductions NEVER CAUGHT SLEEPING, HEAVY ARTILLERY

  • so did you hit your targets good?

  • they are fighting for nothing in there

  • @hamza98888 you know why they fight America thinks she can eliminate Radicalism by Controlling and modernizing the Country. that's the main objective.

  • "hasta el cabo"

  • comment to the one guy that said their national guard not army. Well I'll tell there are some damn good national Guard artillery units

  • they look like they are falling asleep. what d hell???

  • Damn, that sucker is LOUD! Glad you guys are on my side, because I'd hate to be on the receiving end ot that shit.

  • Kind of slow. But then again, they're National Guard, not the Army or Marines.

  • Eso es Puñeta!!!!

  • well done

  • thank god we switched to the m777 i hated working on these things

  • thats light artilery as its a fine howitzer

  • Actually, they are pretty bang on. Marines can only maintain about 2 rounds per minute sustained fire. These seem like pretty checked out troops as far as arty goes.

  • @BaconSnot Canadians are stil lthe best at Artillary, these boys are good though

  • @BaconSnot isnt that because of barrel overheating?

  • Right. That I would have to see.

  • nic!e!!

  • duck and cover!

  • BORICUAS EN ACCION PA QUE TU LO SEPAS

  • That was kind of a slow barrage...

  • We are as American as apple pie, and Boricua as the coqui, It is time for statehood.

  • If these guy can fight for there country, They should be aloud to vote inr there country.

    PUERTO RICO STATEHOOD

  • i say u should have had statehood a long time ago. its bout time you guys join the fucked up family of state we call America

  • agreed

  • i thought in puerto rico they voted ever year to see if they want 2 become a state but they vote no because they think they will lose the spanish heritage if they become a state

  • Statehood has a mojority of 57%. The rest simply want to remain a U.S. teritory. Only 5% want Independence. Puerto Rico want loose their heritage if they become a state. They have been part of the U.S. since 1898. And they still haven't lost their heritage. Sending 2 senators to Washington want change a thing

  • @zacub Correct me if I'm wrong, because this may be only a rumor...but what what I've always been told is that Puerto Rico always votes down statehood. There are those who want it, but the majority don't. If the majority ever decides to join, they'll get it. I say let them. Puerto Rico would be an awesome state.

  • @zacub Please learn to spell first...

  • omg the first shot felt it through my speakers lol

  • Now that's some heavy artillery HELL YEAH bad guys never had a chance NEVER ah ha ha ha lol

  • Lol the First shot scared me xD

  • wow i felt that through the speakers XD

  • Imagine the British artillery at El Alamein in WWII :P Hundreds of guns firing :D

  • boom

  • the Germans had just as many guns........matter of fact Rommel defeated the british many times despite being outnumbered, outgunned, and having less resources available

  • Your knowlage makes me feel stupid.

is that what you want to hear?

(Blocked) I dont care for your views

  • Germans lost the war, Claus. That and every other war they fought above their weight class.

  • He was one of their best in Afrika Corps,

  • Just curious, how are the cartridges kept (ie:ammo tent)?

  • Only a few with the guns most are in the rear, brought forward by carriers. Rounds are separate from the fuses (front, tip) these in the video)are already put together in the field. They are about 98 pounds each and can be tailor (spelling?) made for different missions, anti-infantry, flare etc...

  • M 198 is medium Arty not heavy

  • fuck!!! thats some heavy shit. i would not like to be on the receiving end

  • pretty slow gun crew man

  • Slow? yeah, but there shots are accurate. you don't need speed when you can place the shots good.

  • yeah you do when your boys are dieing you need to be fast

  • speed is very important. If you want to see it check out my vid.... three rounds from a M198 in 20 seconds.

  • when our guys are so close to danger you need to be accurate not fast cause if not you should know what happens or do you not??????? mister fast

  • yeah you need to be fast and both

  • @blagon5

    @sage1119

Speed is fine, accuracy is final. Right, blagon?

  • @blagon5 In big wars like WW2, shooting fast might be useful. But this is a war against insurgence, there accuracy is more importand, than number of shells fired at the enemy.Thats because number of enemies is far smaller. In WW2 yes you would like carpet bomb the whole place.I think most tense artillery fire was in the battle of Selow heights, when over a million shells were fired at the germans in a matter of hours.

  • @sage1119

Speed is fine, accuracy is final. Right, blagon?

  • at that moment we needed accuracy not speed cause the troops at the other end where less that 200 meters from the impact zone, we were into saving ours and fucking the talliban

  • @blagon5 what division are u in? and your job?

  • @blagon5 200 meters? massively danger close lol

  • @iliket0bike That is. If you have seen an artillery shell exploding, you would see shrapnel is rained down within a few hundred metres, So if you are a few feet off, it becomes very dangerous.

  • @blagon5 good shit sir. Show those fucking huns who owns thier ass.

  • @blagon5 these cant be american troops then?

  • Siempre habla el que menos puede... Coño no se safó ni un puñeta en este video!

  • HOOAH

  • woaahahh

  • get some

  • I don't like modern artillery, its a insult to the word heavy, I like WWI King George MARK XVMXIIMVVIXC heavy 300mm howitzer HIGH EXPLOSIVE heavy artillery

  • Mate this was labled wrongly because 155mm which is what this M 198 is is not considered heavy atry it's medium arty

  • Anyone who has Q's on 13B come to me.

  • Holy shit that gun is a BEAST!

  • beautyfull....i`m in love...jiji---- ^.^

  • The description of this video says "198 Howitzer, Caribbean Thunder kicking Taliban assss over Afghanistan C 1/162 FA Puerto Rico National Guard." I CALL BULLSHIT! We ain't kicking anyone's ass or else we would have won that war 5-6 years ago. Maybe OBAMA will put in the necessary forces/moral and kick some ass there. As of now we've lost in Afghanastan almost as bad as we've gotten out ass kicked in Iraq.

  • have u been 2 iraq or afghanistan?..idk..but if u havent then how can u say "we"?..u prolly dont know the least bout servin our country..i know i have kicked ass..C BRTY 1/321 AFAR,18TH FIRES BRIGADE..FT BRAGG!!!!..HOOOAH!!!!!!!!!

  • But we're not losing in Iraq. Last I checked security in Iraq is outstanding and there is hardly any action there at all. Why does everyone blame the economy on Bush? Its not the war effort that's driving our economy down. I actually blame it on the high gas prices we had. With Obama, I don't want a man running my country who wont put his hand on the Bible, his hand on his heart during the Pledge, or said he's been to 57 states.

  • Wow no we are not hiding. If anything their hiding. They hide and plant their IEDs because they are cowards and not courageous enough to fight. And with the economy, yes I do believe that it was the high gas prices. Look at all the layoffs it led to in the RV industry. Look at the taxes its raised for public transportation and other services. Its like a domino effect. When there's one problem, its gonna lead to another problem and so on. People are stealing gas and robbing more banks now.

  • Why do people blame Bush on the economy...? Hmmm... It MIGHT be... It just MIGHT be that he deregulated the lending industry and ordered loosening of banking oversight because he said "I believe Americans do best when they own their own home and the economy does best when left unregulated." You think a few months of higher than average gas prices caused the largest U.S. banks to completely collapse, huh? I agree that any future for you is probably in the Marines... go do some good in Afgan.

  • each round the shot uses thousands of dollars....what a waste..

  • Yep, that is USA for you. Take away from citizens' health care, and waste it on explosives and murdering people! I like how they consider themsleves a democratic country...lol

  • Its a bit more than that... but hey some people just gotta die and who is going to do it? You?

  • Your username is yaykaboom yet you do not like like a Howitzer on a firing mission.

    Irony?

  • is it wise to have those 100+ 155MM howitzer shells sitting there in one place? I mean, the whole base is going up if a single taliban mortar hits that cache.

  • hmm yeah, but i guesse its hard to hit it cause mortars aint really acurate so the shooter most be really lucky to hit it

  • luck is what I was getting at. it's a little bit risky to have it where a terrorist with a mortar and a little luck can blow up the entire base.

  • Artillery shells aren't easy to set off unless you want them to. The explosive is encased in a very solid chunk of metal, strong enough to survive the violent act of firing. It seems to me that even a direct mortar strike would still have a hard time setting those things off.

  • good point.

  • i hope this wasnts called by infantry request for firepower cause this is SHIT slow.

  • the marine corps only does it better.

  • i saw 1 of these in a collection n i was in awe of it,,, i could fit my whole body in the barrel........i didnt actually try though :).....certainly wouldn't like 2 b on the recievng end of one either!!!

  • looks like a howitzer crew only slower. take your time boys, only some infantryman needing firesupport, nothing to hustle over.

  • Proud Guard Member! PRNG Hoooaaahhh!!!

  • ... they really have a long load time.. me and my crew shoot 3 rounds in 30 seconds

  • Yes but your chief didn't verify the safety bubbles and we were firing TOT.

  • Hey, Stupid, US is not occupying other country. They are out their to get the asses of those who wants to strip you out of your ass. They are in a country where humanity has little affect on people's lives. They kill more people than you close your eyes during the course of a daylong. US Army which is contended of different ethnicity (Multinational) is helping to teach the terrorist a lession in one hand, and to help teach the innocent people to love other nations and build their country.

  • bush is a terrorist

  • Ever since WWI over 2,000 Puerto Rican units have fought in every US conflict. This includes Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kosovo. Thank you brothers.

  • AlejandroB52 they concript us until vietnam, thank you for what?

  • Cuajon pr, I am thanking the men and women of Puerto Rico's armed forces for fighting for a country that does NOT love them, you should thank them also.

  • I am very proud to see my puertorican brothers serving the US. Before the US, from the day Columbus landed in our shores,we were abused and neglected by Spain. We have a lot to thank the US, as a matter of fact, we were blessed when the American soldiers landed in Puerto Rico in July 25, 1898. This fact, is what make us different from the other Caribbean islands.

  • We're happy to help.

  • migrodzvolksnet history lesson --- ---Cristobal Columbus or Rodrigo de Triana never landed in PR, that`s a myth, I was Martin Alonso Pinzón the one who touch land.#2 the american soldiers dind`t ''land'' they invaded, and no we are not different from other caribbean nations , ethnically we are the same as RD & Cuba and mentally we have an american fake ego.. don`t take me wrong I am 110% proud of our Puertorican Soldiers, the best national guard in the us dept. of defense, and that`s a fact!
