Everyone says macs are so much more expensive but you have to remember what you're paying for. Besides just a computer, you're investing the extra money into Apple's research to make a quality product that will last. I'm typing this on my own i7 MacBook Pro I bought myself for college. Sure, I could have saved $300-600 by buying a PC with similar specs. But I bought a product I enjoy using and will most likely last longer than the similar PC. When using something everyday, quality matters.

@chadunn13 its the OS too.. if you opened your mind you would find mac and Unix as a whole is massively more powerful.. i used to be hard core windows till they released 98 and win2k.. they were aweful.. 95 and xp are the only good windows OS's out there.. 7 has alot of driver issues.. but for gaming windows is a must.. unfortunately

So then if you compare that to a similar Windows PC which is an All-in-one desktop computer with about the same specs, I'm sure the price would be relatively close to that of an iMac. Now I could go on and on about those things but I won't. I just wanted to shed some light on Apple's side. So really, I wouldn't call Mac's a waste of money. Neither would I call a PC. There both excellent under there own rights.

But my current stationary pc cost nearly the same, and it has 6gb RAM (yes a little less.) 2tb harddrive, 2gb graphics memory, 3ghz dual core processor, and room for 4 gb ram more, and another graphics card. And im sure it is possible to get this at an even cheaper prize, and what i love about my pc: Its customizable, meaning i can replace any part of my pc, without having to send it to Apple.

Macs are fantastic products. I don't think it's fair to compare a $1,300 aluminum laptop to a $500 cheap pc laptop. Both sides have pros and cons.

@Conner526 the 1300 one is not aluminum you have to pay 2000 dollars for the aluminum one the macbookpro and i can get a 13 inch( the macbook which is 1300) windows based anodized aluminum notbook for 1199 so yah

The reason I have a Windows is because I'm free on it. No rules no "not alowed" no hidings! And the other reason is because I program vb ;) and it's FREE and the third reason is that if you want a simple work computer you can get it for 150 bucks. If you want a gamer you can Always buy a cheaper one or upgrade the old! On Mac they all cost the same expensive prize :/

But my current stationary pc cost nearly the same, and it has 6gb RAM (yes a little less.) 2tb harddrive, 2gb graphics memory, 3ghz dual core processor, and room for 4 gb ram more, and another graphics card. And im sure it is possible to get this at an even cheaper prize, and what i love about my pc: Its customizable, meaning i can replace any part of my pc, without having to send it to Apple.
Macs can be good at times, but imo Windows>Mac

@Jaschar60 Just for your information they do have call of duty for mac, just not the most current. Macs aren't meant for gaming like that. The reason macs are expensive is because they last way longer than p.cs and offer more features all-in-one with great hardware.

PC- affordable Mac- Absolutely not
PC-Great Selection of games Mac- mmmmh, not so much
Mac is cool and all, ice to use, but its expensive, not enough games and its expensive as shit to get it repaired and it is more likely to malfunction than a PC
