Bleurghh, so glad Layton doesn't have a live action version yet... If they got Japanese actors to do it, it just wouldn't work... Not being racist, just saying that Layton is a Brit and the story is set in London :S

Also if they speak English = = lmfao, it'll be really weird and also can't pull off the original feel. It's got that mysterious feeling to it because it's Japanese. A westerner is going to cut it. It's weird for me. Look the feeling will definitely be off. The way Japanese do it is way different. Watch a western movie then a asian movie. You'll find the differences...sigh. SInce you guys only watch English movies I doubt you guys even care about the Japanese ones. That's kind of insulting.

I was just saying for Layton the setting is in London, the characters are English, so it might work with english actors too! I get what you're saying, but there's no point being so closed minded.... Oh ok, but I still prefer Japanese actors more since it's Japanese made. Well, you get what I mean at least. You know the feel this gives is very Japanese even though it's in an English setting, but if the movie has English actors and director it'll give off a very western feel. Well, if some director is good enough to pull it off, I'll definitely watch it. It's like remakes of Asian horror movies, which sucks. I'll respect anyone able to pull it off though.

@littlepurplesheep92 Because that man (Yo Oizumi) is the voice actor of Professor Layton in the original version. He's a famous actor, which is why he was chosen in the 1st place. They featured him in the ads because they wanted non gamer people to get interested in the game, so Level-5 ( the developer and publisher of Layton series in Japan) splurged a lot on the voice acting, and hired famous people to voice many of the characters. They used the same strategy as Dreamworks for example.

Well in Japanese it means "akuma no hako" or something. That means, "The demons box" or something. Guess it was too...sinister for America, so they had to re-name it as "Diabolical Box".

Luke IS voiced by a women. But the Layton you see in this commercial is the actual Japanese voice actor for Layton, that's why he's in this commercial.
