Bungie have no say in how the Halo name is used and did not therefore have a hand in promoting the idea of a Halo themed RTS. They didnt have any hand in production either. That was left down to Ensemble Studios and Robot Entertainment under Microsoft Game Studios. Basically Bungie didnt choose to make Halo wars it was Microsoft who commisioned it as they own the rights to the franchise.

Deathmatch=all upgrades are already researched and you start with an obscene amount of resources. It's straight forward unit spam until your enemy has been defeated.

Standard=the classic style of an RTS. You start with limited resources, and no upgrades. It's more strategic than DM.

where it says normal at stuff basicly the difficulty level at the bottom you see automatic at 1st it starts easy but then it gets harder around 90 and keeps getting harder.

The AI cheats and gets bonus's so you need to defend against s cheating AI.

if u play halo wars there are 2 gametypes 1 is standar and the 2 is deathmatch, in the second u dont need to do reactors u begin with all ur units fully upgraded, so the guy is playing deathmatch
