I find these so easy. It takes me less than a minute to floss all my teeth. I don't use the recommended 18inches but smaller pieces and at each thread I keep the Threader on my pinkie finger. Rinse it with warm soapy water after each half and then I keep it in a clean pouch until it is loosing its shape. Then it is time to replace the threader - about once a week.
-Use Superfloss, or any brand of floss with one end stiff and pointy, it slips right under the arch wire, no need to thread it!
-If you insist on using the threader, actually tie one end of the floss to the loop on the threader, that way you don't have to thread it about 30 some odd times, simply guide it under.
also, a waterpik would make your gums and teeth much healthier, and it takes about 30-60 seconds. It does replace flossing, but it help oodles. Less floss time.
LOL! I've been using them wrong this entire time... I thought they were the floss =.=
I got some of these in a bundle braces care pack and they were missing the instructions... So I just assumed the straight bit is used for flossing, and the loop for holding onto the floss more easily. Wow... No wonder why my gums also bled when I used them. Lawl, at least I know better now.
@webcams101, lol! do you still floss or did you stop? just got braces and yes, flossing's a pain in the backside. trying to learn to do it. and i've read you get cavities and stuff if you don't, so i know i need to start doing it now.
@tdottchickk For me that's BS. I've only had cavities on top of my tooth (the part where you bite) on my back teeth. I've never had them in between my teeth. But hey. I'm not a dentist.
@ubergirliz1 You certainly can get cavities inbetween your teeth. For example, if you have very crowded tighly packed teeth, you can get a cavitiy because you are unable to clean the tight area. Cavities can form anywhere on the teeth. And everyone should floss, at least once a day. If someone doesn't floss, maybe they should Google Gum Disease, that might kick their butt into gear.
Floss threaders are dumb, there's nothing easy about threading a floss threader for every tooth if you have braces. I suggest a product called Oral B Superfloss. It cost 2.75 at wal mart for 50 of them and they're pre cut floss with fishing line on the end of it so its stiff and it has a fat part on the line to clean your braces and a lot of regular floss on the end. It works perfect and you don't have to thread a damn thing.
theres way easier ones you can buy, there are called crest gliders or something like that, but its just like regular floss, but on one end of the floss it is hard so you can push them behind your wire, i have these glide things and i have braces. :)
okay.? first of all.... this is 'helping' you by sticking a floss threader in the wire so it can get the floss and pull it up so you can floss in between your teeth. but why couldnt you just put the FLOSS ITSELF in the wire and then start flossing!! you dont need a string pulling up another string and use the second string to floss. use the first one. just do the same thing but without the floss threader. stick the floss through the wire and viola! this isnt mission impossible.
I used to use these and hated flossing because it took SOOOOOO long to floss. Now I use the platypus flosser and can floss my entire mouth (with braces - oh yes...) in minutes! I found mine at PlatypusCo online, they gave me free shipping because I had the code "floss" from my hygienist... might still work?
if anyone lives in mississaiga or milton and needs braces contact me cause ive got a good place for you to go 2. jus message me on my youtube account.

I have two suggestions:

so the purpose of the floss threader's just to use it to get the floss into the teeth?
