  • @uxa1 I agree. If I made the camera I would have allowed it to shoot 1280x720 at 1000fps. But cameras like that cost upwards of $100,000. The EX-FH25 (which I own) is the the best bang for your buck. If you want better, then buy a used the EX-F1 which is overall, about twice as good, but cost about $1500 or so.

  • Very bad looking video, next time take a wider one please

  • Additional EX-FH20 info:

    Movie modes:

    480x360 at 210 fps

    224x168 at 420fps

    224x56 at1000 fps

    640x480 at 30 fps

    1280x720 at 30fps

  • U SOUND LIKE BEAR GRYLLS!!!!

  • how do u make the screen in 6 squares like in 1:29

  • u suck. sorry but is the worst review id ever seen

  • I would LOVE the ex-f1, but it's just too expensive for me.

  • Is the shutter speed fast enough to take good pictures at 20x zoom without a tripod?

  • I already getting one :D excited (I have a budget cause I'm young so I cannot go too high)

  • how long is the recording time in HD with a 16gb sdhc card?

  • Is this a good camera for recording skateboarding?? Im thinking about buying it to make a video.

  • Just buy a camcorder????

  • This review didn't go anywhere near doing this product justice.

  • you didnt like the highspeed?! fuck you it looks amazing!

  • this camera is awesome, I basically want this camera, its a good price, great zoom, love the features, but I want a rechargeable battery pack, any suggestions?

  • whats the price for this camera? ( I have the KODAK EASYSHARE Z1015 IS )

  • 300

  • the ex f1 is a much better camera, dont let megapixel numbers fool you its down to the sensor, 6 megapixel is already enough for sizeable pictures, if you want better buy a dedicated dslr, you can record sound and use the zoom at the same time on the ex f1 the battery is better its a purpose built unit(fh-20 uses regular AAs im told?) the camera is fully manual and you can increase the light getting in by switching to aperture priority dialing in the lowest number and bumping up the iso

  • wait, i thought that it had 720p res. at 30 fps

  • hey why the fuck isnt my camera recording sound! on normal recording, not High Speed! plz help me out! is there a setting? i will subscribe who helps, plz i need to record sound. thnx

  • If you record with the zoom capability then it removes the sound but if you turn the zoom off, then you are able to record with sound.

  • it doesn't record sounddddd

  • Don't shake that poor camera that way!!!

  • can somene tell me or is should take the EX-FH20 or the EX-FC100

i dont really know the big diffrences

  • does this camera have a regular video camera??? and does it have flash

  • Yes to both.

  • did this model of casio have the Slow Motion Mode ? TNX

  • it does. recording a video with 210, 420 or 1000 frames (pictures) per second means a possible slowmotion of 7, 14 or 33 times, because a normal video runs with 30 fps, which is in our human eye a smooth motion. but you can also run the videos you recorded with 210, 420 or 1000 fps in normal speed.

  • Everyone who sees this comment, if you noticed how the video on the camera with the ball. You noticed that it was very bad, well he was using slow frame mode (Not Actual High Speed Normal Mode). I have a video with it, on normal movie mode, it is extremly smooth. Thx for reading!.

  • BEAR GRYLLS!!!

  • camera is great but the video.. ??

  • The Best zoom Camera I Liked

  • you said the previous one was bad in every other condition and yet here you are showing the same with the new camera, I wanna know about its picture quatily and low light condition shooting.

Please shed some light on that issue

  • The Casio EX-FH20 helps you to capture an amazing 40 high resolution, 7 megapixel images in one second providing more images to choose from than a DSLR. Get close to the action with the 20 time optical zoom starting at 26mm wide-angle. A push of a button enables you to shoot high definition 720p video and switch to high speed slow motion video. You can capture in 30-210fps, 420fps and 1,000fps. At 1,000fps you can catch movement that you cannot see with the naked eye.

  • It's suppose to shoot 400 photos on good batteries. Does this mean it's full after 10 40fps bursts?

  • Lol :D Dont worry, I just shot 15 40fps bursts and the batteries are still loaded.

  • i've got a question, when you're shooting video (HD or SD), can you zoom in and out like a camcorder while shooting?

    Thank you so much!

  • Yup, You can zoom when recording a HD or a VGA Movie, but not when recording a Highspeed Movie.

And: you must decide wether you want to zoom or record audio. (I think thats because the motor of the zoom would ruin the sound recording, so one of this two features must be disabled)

  • I'm actually switching to vimeo (i already made videos for it) so i really wont need to record audio.

    thank you so much!

  • ive just got the fh20 but when i try to film in high speed the picture is all dark ? ive tried different settings but what settings should i be using ?

  • Try the auto mode in a brighter situation. At highspeed mode the shutter is, of course, very fast, so there is not much light to fall on to the sensor in such a short time.

At evening you probably will only see the lamps. Check my indoor filmed highspeed perfume explosion.

This is normal with high speed filming ;-), professionals spend more money for the extreme bright lightning than the camera itself (it already happened, that a car startet to burn at higshpeed crash test because of hot lamps)

  • Thanks for the reply, i have tried it outside and it works great but it is dark inside due to the light, even though it is in a bright room. Thanks for the Advice as i was going to smash the camera in fast motion on the floor lol.

5 STARS for the help and great video

  • what should I get EX-FH20 or EX-FH1?

  • f1 is almost twice as much money and takes a much smaller picture

  • EX-F1 is superior. but yes, it costs.

  • yeah i was gonna buy ex-f1 but i was all.. aww.. i gotta save ALOT.. blablabla

then this one is similar but cheaper so i went what the heck?

  • you should get the EX-F1, it's not that expensive at all. top ten features: 1 - badass look. 2 - High Speed capturing @ 300, 600 and 1200 fps. 3 - Full HD 1080p video capture at 60 fps. 4 - high quality pictures. 5 - LONG battery lifetime. 6 - firmware updates. 7 - some kind of motion sensor. (will notice if you took your pictures upside down for example and rotate them.) 8 - powerful flash. 9 - HDMI output. 10 - you can connect it directly in your printer.
  • i dont know...

    it is expensive.

basicly what i wanted was to record high speed, but 4 that there are just cameras for that, but i dont know ehere to get them etc...

  • oh..

    if you're buying standalone high speed cameras, you'll have to pay about 10 - 20 000 $

the EX-F1 is the cheapest high speed camera out there that is actually good.. i mean.. you will use the other features too...

  • hey hey hey

    help me choose a camera!

I need 1000fps, nothing more basically, i mean i don need zoom, i have other cameras for that. what would be the cheapest camera from casio which has high speed video??

  • The Casio EX-F1.

High-Speed at up to 1200 fps.

The battery time is very long. (one or two weeks of normal use).

Casio only made two high speed cameras as far as i know, and the EX-F1 is worth the 1000$ (varies from country to country.)

Also, you can take single-frame pictures at up to 40 000fps.

more than fast enough to take a clear picture of a bullet if you're lucky :p

Google a "Casio ex-f1 price guide".

PM me if it is something you want to know.

  • thanks :D

I wanted to know if there is any camera with high speed video, around 1200fps which is available for less than $500?? and are they good?

  • @logitech4873 anything like that for around £300? or less? also hows the Casio EXILIM Pro EX-FH20?

  • @jamespk3run

The Exilim EX FH20 is like the EX-F1's little brother, if you want a high speed camera then you should really just save up and get the EX-F1.

  • @logitech4873 thanx, it does look very good, but is there anything thats a little more affordable?

  • @jamespk3run

Well, the camera in this video then.

    350$

  • @logitech4873 thanx for your help :)

  • @logitech4873 dude its $1000+

  • @rugby647

    More like ">1000$".

It was exactly 1000$ when I purchased it in Norway, and I can't imagine that it isn't cheaper in the US.

And is 1000$ so damn much? It's what the PS3 was priced at launch here.

  • @logitech4873 i find that expensive for a camera

  • @rugby647

I find that to be a pretty standard price for a good DSLR camera. :|

  • @logitech4873 i think the canon t1i would be more worth it

  • @logitech4873 You cant compare a Point and Shoot to a DSLR! For you to make that comment I think most would of thought it was in its price range. Obviously not.

  • @logitech4873 its like 1000 bucks dude. thats expensive.

  • @hageman24

Sorry, but I don't find that expensive at all.

It sounds like you're comparing it to a normal compact digital camera.

  • @logitech4873 only 6MP though :(

  • @elnicko123

    2816 x 2112

You know, this camera takes some great images, and that resolution doesn't limit it at all.

    Megapixels =/= Quality.

  • @logitech4873 yeh it doesn't effect most people but if i wanted to take a photo for my desktop, it would need to be scaled as i have a 3 monitor setup; 1280+1920+1280=4 480 wide. Meaning i would have to stretch the image more than double its size.

  • @elnicko123

    Nice setup :D

But I do understand your problem.

Point is, you don't buy this camera if you only want to take pictures, you buy this if you're going to use the High-speed capability.

  • @logitech4873 this camera is 200$ ex f1 is a 1000

  • @shoesarecoole

This is why I hate getting my comments in the highest rated ones.

People respond to them all the time, and says the exact same thing.

Go look for one of my older responses if you really care.

  • @logitech4873 my bad i didnt read the date

  • @shoesarecoole

    No problem. :)

  • @logitech4873 thanks for the notice

  • @logitech4873 FYI the EX-FH20 takes better pictures than the EX-F1 (9MP vs. 6MP, 20X zoom vs. 12X) and it is almost 3 times cheaper ($350 vs. $1000) so yeah, the EX-F1 IS expensive.

  • We all love high speed footage! :P

But sadly enough the resolution is not that great at 1000fps.

  • I want that camera!

  • Same, I just found it for myself tonight.

  • 500-600euro

  • 60 fps or 16 fps

    1600 fps movie mode?

  • how much?

  • lol my mate is in the process of buying one

  • Good video!

  • this cameras nice

  • cool review!
