I read the meaning of this surah near the title, i must be dumb but i still do not understand fully this surah. Firstly,who are quraish? What did they do? I understand Allah took away leadership from the Arabs to the quraish. is it so they would protect mecca? Please respond Thankyou

The Quraish is a tribe, which existed in pre-Islamic Arabia. They were the custodians of the Ka’bah and the tribe in the midst of which the Last Prophet, Muhammad, was to appear.
