heres to all those deaf ones who cant hear the difference between country and bluegrass:try playin music yourselves - THEN immediately will you understand the DIFFERENCE between schmaltzy and self indulging country music and the vitality and sweet charms of true bluegrass.bluegrass is not by any coincidence the root of country and not the other way round
@Mitchgreen250 Country is usually a full band, Drums and Guitars, Electric and Acoustic, Keyboards etc,
Bluegrass is typically Strings and accompaniment with Empty Bottle 'flutes' and wooden washboards. No Drums. Raw Roots music from Afro Americans inspired by Irish Immigrants. A mix of Blues and Jazz. Musicians took turns as 'soloists' in the melodies as opposed to all instruments on the melody and a single lead. Dobro Guitars and Banjos feature highly. Railroads, Moonshine & Mountain Men
@Mitchgreen250 si te lo ripeto:TU sei ricchione e ti piacciono i TOBLERONI NERI perciò per te la musica è sempre uguale uauauauauauauauauauauauauauauauauhihihihihihahahahah
Anytime someone speaks of Bluegrass in that manor most likely they are just extremely envious of the insanely talented picking and singing that goes along with it. My God, look at this fifty year old specimen that's presented- utter virtuosity. You think Paul M. would ever dare dis the Grass?
That English d-bag says he hates Bluegrass because it has strict rigid rules. But, lets be honest so does every other genre of music. Really? Every little musical sub clique has it's rules. Narrator says that Bluegrass has no soul and has rules. But, doesn't punk, metal, country...et al...have little rules? Whatever the case, these cats had soul, it not nearly as sterile as anything that has come out in a long time.
If Bluegrass Bands played electric instruments, had backup singers, allowed horns, bells, saxaphones and whistles, etc. then it wouldn't be ANY DIFFERENT FROM ROCK N' ROLL! That's why we have those rules dumbshit!
Great how these boys can talk to each other & goof around and still play flawlessly like that ! Bluegrass IS no electric & no drums. Elec. & drums are for country music. Cheerio !
Real american music. PERIOD.
